"Sad to leave but thrilled to have stayed at Akademie. However we do have unfinished business so we will be back, that is certain. Our room was just exceptional: spacious, well equipped and the staff fired up the balcony hottub based on our return time, you might think a hottub in the glorious weather we had, but yes…. To sit there for 30 minutes and just stare at the mountains and the blue sky above was magical. The breakfasts either served in the orangery of pool side were a taste bud delight....

Leeu House
5.0 star property
9.6 out of 10, Exceptional, (44)
"We fell in love with Leeu House. The staff were so friendly and so helpful - preempting our needs before we even asked. Going above and beyond to help us with reservations (including a last minute request to help us find somewhere to watch the sunset!). The grounds are absolutely beautiful, as are the rooms. Feels like a little sanctuary but still walking distance from all the best restaurants, galleries and the wine tram. Highly highly recommend. Only thing is we wish the pool was heated!"

"Recently returned from a 3 night stay at these apartments and we had a great stay in apartment 6. It was modern, clean and bang in the centre of Franschhoek town. The check in was the quickest ever and room was ready for us despite arriving early. The facilities were great and bed comfy - didn’t want to leave the place and wouldn’t hesitate to book when visiting again 😀 "

5.0 star property
8.6 out of 10, Excellent, (43)
"Everyone who worked there was very friendly and helpful. Really great staff. The outside/property area is very beautiful as well. I just don't think the place is worth the price, and I can't understand why they would advertise this as a 5 star property. The rooms look like they are from the 80s or 90s - decorations are just very, very outdated and the room just smelled old (but it was clean). The bathrooms are very outdated - not even close to a 5 star property. They also charge for bottles of...

Villa Angelica

"The advert for this property is misleading. Wifi is only free for the first few emails. We received a letter stating that our stay was in breach of the terms of the estate and therefore could not use the public facilities (pool, tennis court etc). \ In addition there are numerous signs in the property, on walls, cupboards, on tables saying "do not touch", "stay out, private, property of owner" etc. This is in addition to a deposit required for the stay (which does not get repaid for 3 weeks)...
