“good value in west Frankfurt”
I liked this hotel, and I'd definitely use it again if I were traveling to Frankfurt. Pluses: It's affordable. The rooms are spacious and modern, especially considering the price. For overseas travelers, the rooms have mechanical blind systems, so you can have total darkness to sleep in while you're still on your own local time. The staff serve a generous continental breakfast with cold cuts & eggs. It's on a plaza with 4-5 restaurants and a subway entrance within a bloc. Minuses: The outside facade makes the hotel look more run-down than it is inside. The younger staff are bilingual but the older staff speak barely any English. Most important, though it's close to the subway, the neighborhood is not in walking distance to downtown Frankfurt, so you'll need to expect to take subway to downtown. (I used the hotel for a conference at Goethe University on the west side of Frankfurt and it was perfect for my purposes.)
