“Nice retrait”
Nice friendly ressort a little away from the mainstream, though taxi's are not expensive if you do not. have your own wheels.
“Can't wait to go back”
This place is awesome.....the friendliness of ALL the staff made us feel like home in the first few hours. This, in hindsight, was the highlight of our stay there!! They were so helpful, knew you by name and always had a huge "bula" on meeting. This resort is small but not cramped with plenty of room between bures. You will get to know other guests but not feel like you are living on their doorstep! It is certainly NOT a 5 star resort with all the mod cons so if this is what you like, it is not for you. The bures are a true Fijian experience with breathtaking views over the ocean and islands. They are very clean and and rustic and have bar fridge, hair dryer and aircon if required (We were not expecting this!). The resort is on a tidal flat but is this did not distract from the views. Free resort activities include, snorkelling daily, kayaking and coconut tree climbing demo (including fresh coconut to eat after!!!). The resort food is excellent and JB's do a fantastic pizza with awesome sunset views. It is very close to town so a quick trip to Nadi is only a quick taxi ride away. (F$8 one way to town). There are plenty of small supermarkets and bottleshops not far from the resort and plenty of cab drivers that will take you there for about F$10 return. In summary, we stayed for 5 nights and then moved to an expensive island for our last night........regretfully!!! This place is a MUST stay and we will certainly be back!
“Great Beach Location”
We recently spent just a day and a night at Club Fiji due to a flight layover. We were pleased to have the shuttle pick us up at the airport and that although we arrived at the resort at 7 a.m. they were more than accomodating in letting us check into our room right away. We needed this as we were wiped from the 11 hour all night plane flight. We found that Club Fiji is located right on a nice beach and was very South Pacific picturesque. Our bure was adequately nice, but had no amenities such as TV, phone, frig, etc. We tried not to do so, but we succumbed to paying their additional charge for A/C. It was warm and humid! We enjoyed lounging on the beach in both hammocks and lounge chairs under beach umbrellas. The place is very tranquil. The resort seems to be rather isolated, so we felt the need to eat all of our meals in their two restaurants, both of which we found to not be good and grossly overpriced. The bar activity seemed rather lively with lots of exotic looking drinks, but we are not partakers ourselves.
“Average”
We stayed in three hotels in Fiji and this was the worst of the three. Customer service from the staff was poor and the food was average at best. It was OK but I thought we could have done better.. This hotel is about making as much money as possible instead of offering great customer service and a wonderful Fiji experience. Average.
“food great but will stay elsewhere next time”
The front desk staff (women ) should have informed us of the things needed for our comfort in our room, firstly the Garden Bures are in the second row from the beach and we had to walk through mud to our bure with all our bags, Then we found that we had to buy a mozzie zapper from the front desk funny that, then the best was we had to buy a card for the aircon I was shocked we paid $20 less for a hotel room 12 hours before with aircon mozzie zapper and a lot more room especially the bathroom. Unfortunately this accommondation was less then what we had expected. The food was great but expensive. Happy Hour is Happy hour for the owner as the drinks (Cocktails) cost $16 fjd. everywhere else we stayed they went down to $8 fjd not happy hour for us . The road to get there was like the bush track real bad there are no signs saying Club Fiji By the time we arrived we couldn't make out what the hotel/resort/club was called, happy we only stayed one night
“Will definitely stay again. Already thinking when I can get back!”
Great room, great staff, close enough to nadi but a world away.
“Good place to stay away from the tourist mobs in Nadi”
Our bure was clean and comfortable, not fancy, but nice. We were right across from the beach and had windows on 3 sides so the breeze made air-conditioning unnecessary. The units with air conditioning were the furthest from the main building and were in a concrete block 2 story motel style building, They also only had windows on 2 sides - get a bure unless you are sure you need air conditioning no matter what. Wifi (free) is only available at the nearby cafe and only when the cafe is open. No TV in the rooms, but there's one in the main building if you miss watching Australian news. The beach isn't the prettiest we saw in Fiji, but it is clean and not crowded. It has hammocks and lounge chairs for those who just want to sit. The bar makes good drinks, the dinner options are reasonable. Breakfast is not good and the service in the morning is beyond slow. Downtown Nadi (tourist trap with aggressive shopkeepers), Denarau (expensive and crammed with cruise ship passengers), and the airport are short taxi rides away - about $15 to $20 Fijian each way. If you want fancy, go for the expensive hotels in Denarau. Otherwise, if you need a place to stay in Nadi while waiting for a flight to one of the outlying islands, Club Fiji is a comfortable, quiet place for a night or two.
“experience fiji”
The resort was more of a collection of holiday shacks with some basic facilities surrounding them. The staff were very friendly and obliging but you have to be patient because things happen on Fiji time. Had we stayed in some luxurious resort we would not have experienced the true Fiji; if we had wanted concrete walls and glass we could have stayed in Australia. The Club Fiji Resort is not for everyone but if you want to relax and are prepared to accept that you are not at some Club Med type resort you will enjoy your stay. However please be advised that the food is very ordinary and of inconsistent quality.
“i won't be back there again”
i love the sevice there everyone was so nice, friendly and helpful but i didnt like the place bcoz when first there we got room no7 it was the worst bath room i ever seen.it was like a 20 year old bathroom but lucky room no9 checked out so we got to move to that room thanks to the nice manager Navin to let us change rooms...the food was too expensive and wasn't very good either.we borght fish and chips FJD$30 which is AUD$16 it wasn't nice and small.we went out for dinner every night.i think the resort need to renovate all the room, bath room and restaurant bcoz we think it's quite old and the road is very rough and scary.
“Great Hotel! I wish i could have stayed longer”
I only stayed for a couple of nights as a transit hotel, but it truly impressed me, I think the pictures shown are not showing the reality of this hotel, it is truly beautiful. I can't review the beach because I didn't have the time to actually go to the beach there, but the service, the food, the gardens and the rooms are great. The only complain I had was that the shower was a little too small, but just a minor detail.
