“Will definately go back”
We stayed in Edmonton two nights, the first at this hotel and the second was at the higher-rated Matrix downtown. I definitely prefer this one over the Matrix. The location was super-convenient coming in from Calgary (or the airport), the beds were comfortable, there is a bar/restaurant attached, and the service was great. The only beef I have is that you can hear everything that happens in the hallway, and at check in we were put into an already-occupied room. But they were very apoplectic about the latter and moved us without hesitation.

“Above expectations - would stay here again!”
Hotel was amazing. I booked the room online as was just expecting a regular room with 2 beds. Once we checked in the clerk noticed we had children and upgraded us to the family suite, which came with bunk beds in the front room with their own TV, plus our bedroom with a queen bed and another TV. We were very impressed. The kids loved the pool. The hotel is close to everything we needed (South Common, Anthony Henday, Tim Hortons across the street etc) Would definitely stay here again.
“Sandman”
Have always enjoyed staying at the Sandman. Service always good. We tried to have dinner at the Chops Grill and encountered a few really snotty young girls at the front reception desk. They told us that we have to book (we phoned 30 min. earlier and was told that we don't have to book as they're not very busy) and no option given to come back later. We went straight to the Asian restaurant next door, was greeted with a smile and food and and service was top notch.
“Clean, quiet, enjoyable”
Every thing was great about this hotel except the pillows were uncomfortable. Otherwise, excellent. Room was a bit small for a king sized bed, but still good.
“Great value for the money”
We were very impressed with the accomodation for the price. This is one of the best value for the money we have come across in a long time. We will definately consider staying here next time we have to travel using the Edmonton airport.

We were in a king size standard room. The bed was comfortable, room clean. Only complaint was that the size of the room wasn't very 'roomy'. Good location for highway access.

VERY GOOD LOCATION TO SHOPPING AND RESTURANTS. OTHER THAN BATHROOM NOT QUITE AS CLEAN AS IT COULD HAVE BEEN IT WAS A VERY GOOD STAY.
“Good choice”
The room was ready when we arrived, no problems at check-in. I like the idea that only a hotel guest can access only the floor their room is on, via the elevator. The elevator requires a key pass to activate. The room was average, but quite new and has a fridge and microwave included. With the exception of the unruly guests in our hallway, slamming doors and yelling around midnight (no fault of the hotel, just very rude people), the hotel was very quiet. We found the mattresses a little soft for our taste. Lots of towels and 2 housecoats provided. Pleasant front end staff. Going against convention, we appreciate the lack of dogs! The location is very convenient if you are arriving to Edmonton on the south, right off the highway at Ellerslie road. Quick access to South Edmonton Common, easy to West Edmonton Mall (via Whitemud freeway) We would stay there again.
“Not pleased.”
The Hotel was nice but the front desk lady was so rude, that if I didn't book through expedia I would not have stayed. After checking into the room it was very cold that we had to wear our coats till it warmed up. The bed was comfy and the room service was quick and friendly.
