“Good overnight location for airport”
The hotel was convenient to the airport with a small free parking lot. The room was small and clean, but there is no AC, so beware if the weather is hot, the window will have to be open. There is an elevator, which is a plus, but there were no restaurants in the neighborhood, so you are dependent on the hotel's restaurant. The breakfast selection was good.
“Nice place”
I liked this hotel. It's clean, friendly and the restaurant / bar area was enjoyable and comfortable. Mettmann is a little off the beaten track for those intending to see Dusseldorf, but nevertheless it's a quiet and peaceful sort of place where, it seems, not much ever happens. I have friends and family living nearby so it is likely that I will return sometime in the future and I would not hesitate to stay here again.
“review”
i would have liked the tea/coffee making facilities to be offered rather than have to ask; and to have been replenished daily. also, breakfast could be included in the price for a small extra cgarge, it seems srange to me that the cost of breakfast is greater than the price of many of the main evening meals.
“the smallest hotel rooms in the world”
The worst beds in the world. This is not a 4 star hotel. No way.
“Staying close to Wuppertal”
The hotel staff were not really customer friendly. The Hotel bills itself as a 4 star, it is not. Getting in on the first night, the only saving grace was the bar. Good service with a smile. After getting to the room, I called for a password for access to Wifi, the front desk said that I would have to come down and fill a form! My colleague needed a US to Europe plug adapter, for which they held his passport as security! I requested usage of the Gym in the morning, they declined saying it only opens at 10:00AM - because they need to clean it out every morning. Which business traveller is going to hang around till 1000AM to work out at the Gym, and they lock the doors at 0900PM. The room I got was noisy, the windows are not insulated and if you are unlucky enough to sleep on the wing on the main road - be aware of traffic all night! Perhaps one of the least relaxing Hotels that I have stayed in, in a long time.
