"Since it was the Marriott the property has really improved. There is a bar now and a sumptuous breakfast was served. There is now an elevator where there wasn't one before. The beds are quite comfortable and there is housekeeping each day. The staff was quite courteous, except the checkout person was quite cold. i wanted to talk about our great stay but I don't think I would have been too well received. "

"Elevator was broken BUT I was alerted & told I could cancel my reservation w/o any penalty. I stayed anyway (a couple flights of stairs was good exercize). TV did not work properly in my initial room BUT was given a better room with a good TV. Staff did their best so I will use Canfield again next time I stay in Dbq. [I've stayed in Hiltons & Hyatt's that have also had 'things' break down. What's important is how staff responds!]"
