“A great value in Dublin”

This new hotel is within easily walkable distance to buses, light rail, and all the sights of Dublin. Our rooms were lovely and quiet. This is an extremely good value for the price! We were able to use this hotel as our base to explore. Airport service is a few minutes walk away. The staff was friendly and genuinely interested in how our trip was faring. High recommendations!

“Great Hotel, Great City!”

Cleanliness is my top priority and the Maldron did not disappoint. Our room was spotless and cleaned every day. The decor is stylish and the rooms are very comfortable. We had a small room on the top floor which was cosy and most importantly contained a very comfy king sized bed. I especially appreciated the heavy curtains which blocked out so much light I convinced myself it was the middle of the night when I woke at 9am on the first day! The bathroom was modern, spacious and again spotless. We enjoyed looking out onto the busy street below. Some guests may find it noisy at times as the hospital is just down the street but I really enjoyed feeling I was right in the middle of the city. The location is spot on, the bus to and from the airport stops at the end of street and it is a short walk (10 minutes max?) into the centre and around 15 minutes to the wonderful Temple Bar area. We didn't use any taxis and felt very safe walking home at night. Dublin is gorgeous city with loads to do and even more to drink! We laughed for the entire trip and did not want to come home, I cannot recommended both the hotel and the city highly enough.

“Would return”

Very accommodating staff that did its job well. We arrived quite early and they stored our luggage and provided us with tourist information in a friendly manner. We also got our rooms earlier than usual. This may be a no frills hotel, but it is better than some of the top notch ones we have visited. The coffee/tea , iron, ironing board, hairdryer, and closet/luggage space are well located in a special cupboard, and there is good lighting and better than average plumbing and towels. Very clean and modernly colorful also, the rooms and the halls. Although we were over a main street, it was quiet with the double glazed windows, either that or we were too tired to notice. The windows don't open and I usually find that a problem, but not this time. There is a cafe/restaurant/bar on the ground floor which is adequate in a pinch, but I wouldn't plan my meals around it. There are top notch restaurants and cafes within easy walking distance. It is several blocks distance from St. Stephens Square, but no problem for walkers. Three of us in our late 60s, early 70's found it no problem anyhow. (I should mention that we had just taken a week walking tour of the Cotswolds) There is a computer available in the lobby attached to printer. (coin operated) Good for getting boarding passes printed.

“Great value! Great location.”

I loved this hotel. It felt like coming home after a long day of walking Dublin. Easy walking distance to wherever you need to go, and all the buses go up the street next to it. Clean, comfortable, spacious rooms with free internet and coffee/tea. No fridge, but the front staff will hold stuff in the kitchen fridge for you. Irana at the front desk is friendly and very competent. I found a great rate on the internet: hard to believe for a central hotel of a large city. It is on the edge of the busy area, but still busy enough at midnight for me to feel safe to walk there.

“good location”

good hotel every thing good except breakfast, to expensive for what you got and took to long to replenish food, coffee machine needs moving to a better location... only small things but could make all the difference.
