“Excellent "Inn"”
Very attentive staff and very friendly - will definitely seek out this Hotel for all my trips back to Dublin in the future. Great value, location, staff, etc
“Good, affordable hotel”
This Days Inn was a good spot to stay. It is fine and the room was comfortable. The only thing I did not like was that the shower pressure and temp was not great. The shower head runs at just a dribble and at times it was hard to control the temperature. Besides that, the room was equipped with a TV, kettle, hair dryer and other comforts. Cleanliness seems to be a priority of the staff which is much appreciated. As for the location, its near enough to all the tourist attractions in town and to buses for the out of town sights. The side street that its on is a bit iffy as all the stores close up in the evening and leaves few people around. It was not too bad but a higher traffic area would feel better. Overall, this place was a good affordable option. It turned out to be cheaper than a hostel I was considering at the alternative and that would have had a shared bathroom!
“days inn dublin”
The entrance door to the hotel is hidden amongst the shops but if you look up you will see their sign. Room is small but is comfortable and has all you need for a 3 star hotel. perfect for that overnight stay while waiting to catch the morning ferry to England. Only a 5 minute walk to Busarus to catch the bus to the ferry instead of a taxi. 2.50 euro charge instead of 15 euro for the taxi. Plenty of eating places about for dinner and breakfast. However if you intend to stay for more than one day I suggest a bigger hotel like Days hotel at Swords which is an easy bus ride into Dublin.
“great location”
The hotel was literally walking distance to all public transportation. 3 min walk to LUAS Tram, 8 min to o connell station, 5 mins to the bus stops ( for hop on/off & Aircoach). There are a lot of places to eat around the hotel area., theres a convenient store and souvenir shop at the corner. I can see The Spire right outside my window! There's a bike rental a block away from the hotel. If you plan to just sleep in the hotel, this is the place for you. I travelled alone, i can say that the neighborhood was safe compared to walking around the temple bar area at night. It is quiet at night.
“Not Impressed at all”
The hotel was way more hyped up online and it is definitely a 2 star, not a 3 star hotel. The carpet was filthy and there is NO AC! Keep this in mind if you are traveling in the summer. Even if it is 65 degree outside it gets stuffy on the third floor. Also, it on Talbot Street which is a good location but not a safe area. I would recommend hotels on O Connell closer to Temple Bar. This is about 8-10 blocks from there, and there are more junkies around. The police do patrol a lot which did keep me from leaving.
“Good hotel for the price...”
I have never found a bad hotel in Dublin...The room was more than satisfactory for 2 girls traveling through Europe. The only complaint I had was that the room had an unpleasant odor.
“Great Location”
Great location and the staff was very helpful, we had a room that looked out onto the main street so it was alittle noisy at night. I would defintiely stay here again just in a room in the back of the hotel.
