“Very good hotel”
This hotel was absolutely satisfactory. Location is very convenient, 10 minutes brisk walk from the rail station, and about the same from the town centre. In a quiet area. The staff were helpful. My room had recently been renovated, and was very pleasant and kept spotlessly clean. Basic continental breakfast. I would recommend this hotel.
“A Home away from Home”
First of all, I was extremely pleased with my stay at the Hôtel Montchapet in Dijon. Located in a quiet and safe street, the hotel is conveniently near the Centre Ville (a ten minute walk) and the train station (also a ten minute walk,though you might want to get a cab when you first arrive at the gare and have no idea where you are). I remained there for five comfortable nights in a renovated non-smoking room. The cleanliness of the room was good. I must warn you that the hotel does not have an elevator, but there are only 3 flights of stairs. What really made my stay was the hotel staff: they were very, very welcoming, polite, knowledgeable and gave excellent advice about what to do in the city. They truly went out of their way to help me out during my stay!
“Hotel Montchapet Dijon”
The hotel was perfectly adequate for an overnight or a short stay. It was not luxurious but the room was clean and our room which was on the top floor had been newly refurbished, There was no lift. Breakfast was disappointing. The staff were very helpful and friendly, and the hotel manager allowed us to park our car in a secure area off the street at no cost. This was a bonus as our car was loaded with personal possessions and we did not want to leave it in the street. Dijon is a spectacular town and the hotel is well positioned about 10 mins walk from the centre. For the price the hotel was good value.
