"I was perfectly fine with the hotel until I saw what my money could have gotten me at the Waikoloa Beach Mariott. When you compare the two…hands down I would have much rather stayed in Waikoloa. "There is nothing wrong with the property. It is a slightly bit dated, but it is a great place to stay. I have stayed here for both business and leisure. The location is good however, it is surrounded by other run down locations. I assume big storms have ravaged this location. "I usually visit Oahu twice a year and decided to give Maui a try. I thought nothing could top Oahu but I was wrong. I absolutely loved everything about my trip and I think a huge reason was this hotel. The staff were incredibly friendly and even remembered my name. Helene at front desk was especially great. Room was clean and newly renovated. The beach was so beautiful, gardens and hammocks offered were so nicely kept, also great restaurant and store on site. You definitely get your moneys worth...

"This was our second time staying at the Kona Castle Reef . This oceanfront unit was comfortable, tidy and an excellent layout. Some of the lighting fixtures seemed dated and Could use replacement . Having the bbq’s there as an alternative cooking option was fantastic. We can’t wait to visit again next year and hopefully secure the same unit as we did this time ."
