“Very comfortable and easy access to Airport”

The Hotel was quick to pick us up from the Airport and deliver us back in the morning. Very friendly staff.

“Budget but conveniently located.”

The room I stayed in was fairly basic, but neat and the bathroom fas fairly modern. The price was good and the added benefit of the airport shuttle was handy because it saved on getting a taxi in to darwin which is expensive especially for an overnight stop over.

Area recommendations

Darwin is busy of an evening but there is a good amount of entertainment, Cullen Bay is quieter and also very nice courtesy the boat harbour but is further from the Airport.

What to pack

Unless you're very used to the heat, plan on wearing light weight well breathing clothes, Darwin is hot and humid most of the year. Make sure you have some high deet insect repellant as the mosquitoes get pretty vicious & even bite you through your clothes. If you're going in to the national parks make sure you read the itineary so you have the right kit. I used a camel back while hiking around and it helps a lot, don't go on any hike with less that 2lt of water.
