“Made my stay in Cusco extremely comfortable!!”
Casa San Blas is a wonderful boutique hotel situated along one of the main roads between Plaza de San Blas and Plaza de Armas. The hotel staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. They made phone calls to other companies on my behalf and were kind enough to hold my luggage in their storeroom at no cost while I did the 4 day Inca Trail, even though I wasn't planning on returning to their hotel. Additionally, the rooms are extremely comfortable and clean, and San Blas gives you super fancy soap/shampoo! On top of everythiing, I was pleased to find that the hotel also tries to practice sustainable tourism. Breakfast was delicious too... I don't think there's anything else I could ask for in a hotel. I rarely practice "brand loyalty", but if I were ever to return to Cusco, I would definitely want to return to Casa San Blas.
“Clean, efficient, and safe.”
Great place to stay. Very accommodating and helpful. They were able to arrange taxi transportation to catch our train to Machu Picchu and even let us grab some breakfast to go.
“A great place in San Blas, Cuszco”
We arrived at the hotel in the early morning and were given our room. The staff were wonderful. All our arrangements were in order.
“Great hotel for everyone”
Excelent location, beautiful and comfortable rooms, amiable service.
“Great hotel to explore the best of cusco!”
They have a delicious breakfast spread, either local fruits, fresh squeezed juices, delicious bread and coffee, hot milk (not condensed!) and eggs cooked to order. They recommended really good restaurant choices at various price points and gave accurate directions to get there. Also arranged pick up from the airport and train station and were reliable despite our plane delays. After our four day trek to Machu Picchu we felt as if we came home! We highly recommend this pretty and quiet hotel. It has a great location and is near a school so it is very quiet on the weekends, don't worry school doesn't start until the city is humming on weekdays. They took great care of us.
“Casa San Blas - A Great Place to Stay”
Casa San Blas was a lovely place to stay. We stayed there before and after doing the Inca Trail. The staff was very helpful from welcoming us and giving us an orientation session to making restaurant suggestions & securing reservations. The rooms were comfortable with good beds and lots of pillows to choose from. We enjoyed the robes and the hot water bottles placed in our beds each night!
“Excellent location, friendly staff”
Excellent location, friendly staff, will defenetly go back
“Great Place to Stay in Cusco”
What a great and charming place to stay. It is located on a dead-end pedestrian street making it EXTREMELY quiet. However, it is near impossible to sleep later than 5:00am. This is the time that other guests are starting to move about for tours and departures to Machu Picchu. This probablly won't be a problem because most likely you'll have tours planned as well. The staff was wonderful and so helpful/friendly. The breakfast was satisfying and consistent every day including a good selection of delicious fresh fruits. My only complaint is that the coffee was on the cold side and every morning had to be reheated in the microwave. Perhaps it is Peruvian custom. to drink colder coffee. But all in all, absolutely no complaints. Would DEFINITELY stay here again. Conveniently located to every place you need to be and in the best shopping area of the city. The rooms were spotless and the beds extremely comfortable. The shower had minor fluctuations in constant water temperature, but was tolerable. The hotel gladly stored our luggage during our two-day trip to Machu Picchu, and they will arrange for airport pickup and delivery at no extra cost. I notified them by e-mail a couple of days before my arrival and the taxi driver was there waiting.
“Fantastic!”
We had awonderful stay. Service was great. The hotel rooms are good sized, clean with comfortable beds. The staff is very friendly, helpful and propactive. We left our luggage when we travelled to Machu Pichhu for a night and our bags were already in our room when we got back. They serve free tea all the time. The breakfast is OK and the inhouse restaurant was not open most of the times we needed any food. However there are plenty of good options steps away so it was not a problem. Over all great place , the verandas are really lovely! There seems to be a music school in the vicinity, so on the veranda we heard students on various instruments etc all day long. It was not disruptive though.
“Charming in Cuzco”
Casa San Blas was small quiet and cozy. We loved the neighborhood of San Blas. It is a few blocks off the Plaza de Armas in a much quieter and less crowded area. The rooftop terrace was peaceful and had a wonderful view. The bedding was a cloud of thick soft blankets and the hot water bottle delivered after a long day seemed heaven sent. This hotel is built on history and has a rare charm that leaves Cuzco a delightful memory. After we returned from Machu Pichu we stayed at a different Cuzco hotel on the Ave del Sol and was extremely disappointed by a night of very loud traffic noise and honking horns, a dated room in an older not well updated hotel, with an unfriendly and unaccommodating staff. I'm so glad we had Casa San Blas to show us a visit worth remembering. I was concerned when I made the reservation because they were only given three stars. I'm so glad we decided to take a chance. They truly deserve that forth star in my book.
