“Peaceful hotel”
We stayed here for 5 nights in early june and found the hotel to be peaceful and relaxing. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was continental only but offered good choice, with excellent fresh coffee served. San Pantaleo itself is small with only a couple of other hotels, a restaurant (Nico's - not flashy but excellent food) and a couple of cafe/bars. The square is very pretty with a lovely place to sit and have coffee or a glass of wine in the evening.
“Strongly recommend!”
We were very happy with the hotel and the location. The village is interesting and the mountainous landscape wonderful! But you definitely need a car--this means you can access nearby beaches, restaurants, and archaelogical sites. Staff at the hotel are very friendly and helpful.
“Sardinia's Best Hotel”
The hotel was fabulous and the staff were the most welcoming staff that I have EVER come across. Will we definitely return to Sardinia only if we can stay there.
“So relaxing”
The hotel was the perfect way to spend 5 relaxing nights with my girlfriend. The idea was to have a stress free holiday relaxing in the sun. The hotel, with its friendly staff was the perfect base. The rooms were clean and very nice. The village which the hotel was in was also very nice and friendly
“Small and quaint in pretty village”
We visited this hotel for a one night stopover. It is in a very pretty village with a lovely family atmosphere in the main courtyard area in the evenings. My only criticism of the hotel was that it is not ideal for children. The extra child bed was so narrow and small it was only ideal for ages 7 and under. Also the pool is small and several mosaic tiles have come off and my son cut his leg on one of these areas. It seems more a hotel for couples. Also despite being July the bar did not open in the evenings. There was a bar in the restauraunt area but it was never open at night which was a shame.Overall a clean and rustic hotel in a great area for exploring Sardinia.
“Great hotel, great place”
Fantastic hotel, located in a lovely town just a few minutes drive from great beaches.
“Everything as described”
We were really happy with the hotel, and grateful for the prvious reviews which helped us make the choice, and we were not disappointed. We had a really lovely room with a balcony overlooking the pool area and the domestic staff were very thorough, friendly and polite. Everyone was helpful and friendly - with a spcial Thank you for Fabio for his fantastic Cappuccio he served us at breakfast. He had a warm, sincere and welcoming manner, even when he was rushed off his feet would give his customers his full attention.
“Fantastic hotel”
Following a trip advisor recommendation we stayed at Hotel Borgo for a week in September 2008. The hotel is fairly small which we felt really enhanced the level of service and intimacy we received. The hotel was ideally located, the staff were really friendly and helpful. The room lived up to expectations, there is a small pool and bar facility. Everything we needed for our week's stay. We really enjoyed our stay here and would definately recommend the hotel to others.
“Quality in a nice village”
Our stay in Borgo Antico has been fantastic. The hotel is of very nice quality and the staff are very friendly. Breakfast is good and you have the option of having it on your own terrace or at the restaurant. No dinner is available but there is a discount deal with a nearby restaurant that has good food. All in all a very nice base for exploring the area! If you arrive by car; please note that Borgo Antico is only mentioned in small print, the large signs show a different name. Also, parking is in the street, but there is more than enough space to do so.
“Great Italian small hotel”
Booked on reviews, and was not disappointed. Hotel is in a small village with all that you need for a break, we stayed for 6 nights which gave us time to explore costa smeralda area which is close by. Village has good restaurants within easy walking distance. I would recommend having a car as there is not too much to do in the village and the beaches are well worth the trip.
