“Good location, friendly staff”
The hotel was on a square, right next to the train and tram stops with cafes and restaurants all around. Check in was easy, given plenty of information, including a map with the Christmas Markets marked on, room was small but clean. We had known it was a small room when we booked it so this was no problem, catered to our needs perfectly. Soundproofing was great, heard the very occasional rumbling of a tram but that was it. We had taken the metro from Cologne Station because of our baggage, but could have walked the distance in around 30 minutes. We did not use transport again during our stay but walked everywhere quite comfortably.

“Good base for visiting Cologne”
It was really difficult to find a decent hotel in our price range, but this fitted the bill. It is small but had all we needed. The rooms were small (especially the bathrooms) but what you would expect. However it was clean. There is a tram stop outside, although we had a hire car. The breakfast was very good, a little bit of everything on offer including eggs and bacon! Overall a good stay and a good base to see Cologne.
“Good on all aspects, straightforward simple quality.”
Practical, Clean, well located, surprisingly quiet effective windows given the location on a main road, good generous breakfast, good coffee too, The receptionnist was very helpful, professional and pleasant too. Will certainly return . Only fault was that I was charged extra for having lingered on the Pay TV for about more than one minute longer than was free and was then charged. Usually you would have to put in a code or confirm that you wanted to pay the extra. So don't stray on to the Pay TV channels if like me you do not want to pay extra.
“Generally a good hotel”
Nothing wrong with B&B at the Ambassador, though don't expect big hotel facilities. Hotel is modern, clean & well looked after.
“Great Hotel and even better staff”
We recently traveled to Koln bringing our daughter to attend college courses for one semester. The hotel Ambassador was a delightful quaint hotel with an even better staff. The room was clean and comfortable even with 3 persons. We enjoyed the international flair.

Although the room was small, the hotel was comfortable and had friendly staff. Breakfast was great and open later than most. It was right next to the streetcar stop, making it easy to get around town.
“Great hotel”
I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights whilst on a business trip to Cologne. The hotel is ideally situated within 10-15 mins walk from the city centre. There is a tram stop outside with easy connections to the centre and also the exhibition centre. The hotel is very clean and the room comfortable. The buffet breakfast is also very good. Overall I would definately recommend this hotel.
“Good value for money on a short break to Cologne Christmas Markets”
This hotel was good value for money for a short break to Colgone's Christmas Markets. The markets were easy accessable from this hotel. Rooms were small but adequate for the time time spent in the hotel.
