“Pleasantly surprised!”

We were very appreciative of the thoughtfulness of the proprietors. We arrived at 2 a.m. to find the lights on in our unit, the heating running and continental breakfasts ready as previouly arranged by e-mail. The room was very comfortable and we enjoyed the stay.

“Lovely Ashleigh Court Motel”

We really enjoyed our 3 night stay at the Ashleigh Court Motel. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and while the decor is a little older and less 'trendy' than some of the places we stayed in New Zealand, we felt very happy with our choice to stay here. The owners are helpful and friendly, offering a complementary newspaper daily, and giving us some good tips about what to see and do in the area. There was a great Thai restaurant and pub within walking distance, and a Westfield within a 5-10 minute drive which was handy for food shopping. They have a little swing set and a trampoline that our kids enjoyed playing on, and the area is peaceful and felt very safe. We visited Hamner Springs one day and the owners happily provided us with extra towells so we wouldn't have to hire them at the hot springs. We recommend this for families and for anyone else who is keen for a clean, safe, friendly motel stay.
