“Nice Boutiquehotel near old town”
The Hotel is located by the river. You can walk to the old City but it will take you about 15 to 20 Minutes. A Taxiride to the Tapae Gate, which is the main entrance to the old city, will cost you about 60 to 100 Baht. I was enjoying the walk because I liked to take pictures of the streetlife. The Hotel has a nice small pool in the Garden Area. It's not a cheap please but worth the money.

A very nice stay at this wonderful hotel. Food was very good and rooms very nice and clean.

The hotel was beautiful. The only thing was that the beds were a bit hard, but other than that I would highly recommend it
“Great hotel in Chiang Mai”
We rented two rooms in this hotel for 3 adults and 2 children. Great things about this hotel: - Very pretty hotel - Very friendly staff - Great location near the river -- our kids had fun exploring - Reasonably close to the attractions What could have been better: - food quality at the restaurant -- this was quite mediocre In general, we loved our stay here, and would recommend this wholeheartedly.
“Relaxing Stay in Chiang Mai - This will be my hotel of choice when there”
Can't think of a better place to stay in CM. Visited CM mulitple times staying at different hotels. For the rate, there is not a better choice! Breakfast could be a bit improved ... may not be enough for big eaters.
“Romantic and Lovely Boutique Hotel”
I fell in love at this hotel while falling in love with the hotel. The Aruntara Hotel is a slice of heaven in heavenly Chiang Mai. Located near the Muslim quarter, on the Mae Ping River, this hotel is 5 minutes from the Night Market and 8 minutes from the Thapae Gate and the Old City. The hotel itself is a modern architectural gem with well finished rooms and public spaces. The restaurant, manned by Chef See, is absolutely delicious, reasonably priced, and adapts to western as well as Thai palates. The entire staff is pleasant and ready to please. This is my third visit to Chiang Mai, and the 8th hotel I've visited there, in the last 18 months. In terms of value for money, I would easily pick this hotel over 5 star competition nearby such as Le Meridien, and the Dusit D2. Lovely grounds, lounge chairs, and a small infinity pool are rarely used by the guests and I felt as if I were in my own private resort. My initial stay was 3 nights which I first extended to 5 nights and then to 7. Easy to get to, but very hard to leave the Aruntara. The hotel is located less than ten minutes from the airport in a lovely residential area of Chiang Mai. Thank you Aruntara Hotel for an outstanding stay. I loved the ala carte breakfast which featured the brilliant Chef See's excellent omelettes, pancakes, and traditional Thai breakfast as well. All in all, one of the best stays of my life and this is coming from a jaded and spoiled New Yorker.
“Love this hotel.”
This hotel is fabulous. It's beautiful, the service is wonderful, and you have to check out the spa. There is a laundry across the street, so if you don't want to pay the hotel prices for clean clothes, you can get great service across the street for about one-tenth the price. We only ate breakfast here so I can't comment on the restaurant, but I would absolutely stay here again. It's a great value.

“A beautiful and elegant hotel”
We loved the Aruntara: the design of the whole place, and espcially of the bedrooms and bathrooms, is exquisite; the staff were wonderfully helpful; the pool and garden beautiful; the breakfasts and dinners excellent. I had an excellent and very professional thai massage - the best of a series during a summer of travelling. The bed was a bit harder than I like, but they immediately provided an under-quilt to make it more comfortable.
“Hidden gem.”
This hotel was by far the nicest hotel we encountered in Chang Mai. It may look unassuming but trust when I say it is a hidden gem.
