“Will definitely stay there again”
This is a very nice hotel; service is excellent and so is the food. Their breakfast buffet is amazing to say the least. The only drawback is the location which is quite far from downtown though the hotel compensated for it with their shuttle service.

“Wonderful Hotel, not so great location”
The Hotel is clean, beautiful, and filled with professional service. The one problem is that the hotel is located in an area where you must take a taxi to do anything. There are no trikes, you must take a taxi. For me this was an unexpected Head ache.

The service was friendly, breakfast very good, enjoyed the pool & massage. Overall, a very good for a stop-over before heading to the beach / diving destinations.

I have stayed at this hotel twice now and it is fair value for the money. It is about 30-45 minutes by cab from the airport depending on traffic and time of day. Staff are very friendly and courteous at the desk and in the restaurants. I dropped my keys in the bathroom sink and the maintenance staff were up within 5 minutes and got them out for me with a smile! Great service!! Outside restaurant has a band playing at night and the food is good and reasonably priced. As it is at one of the highest points in Cebu , you have a great view of the city. It's great to chill out there at night with a daquari!! Only bad thing I will say is that this is the second time I have had a bug swimming in my coffee at the breakfast buffet. It was gross, but food is good but mainly caters Asian Quisine. The manager apologizes and says it's "from the coffee" Also, it's only a 5 minute drive from the big mall !! Overall good deal!!
“Very good hotel”
Very good hotel, I was impressed. Very good restaurant and a very safe atmosphere. There were armed guards at the entrance to the property, checking everyone that entered. Armed guards are common in Cebu City, with almost every retail business employing them. I enjoyed my stay at Marco Polo and would recommend it to anyone. very nice fitness room and good staff throughout the hotel.

“Good hotel, bad location”
If you are looking for quiet comfortable hotel to relax, this would fit the bill. However, if you want a hotel in a convenient location to all the action in the city....keep looking. I originally reserved a room here for two nights, but checked out and changed hotels after the first day. The hotel is literally in the middle of nowhere. No businesses, restaurants, anything nearby. Expect a 15 minute taxi ride to get to the heart of Cebu City. Another gripe I had is the cost of in-room internet. As of Nov 2008 the cost was an exorbitant 800 pesos/day!
