“Novotel”
I was very impressed with the Novotel as we had been travelling around Italy and this hotel was one of the best we stayed in at an affordable price, i would highly recommend it.
“Excelent for a stop-over”
Excelent Hotel. Nice installations, good service. A fine stay for a stop over with the family. The Buffet Breakfast fare was very expensive thou.

This is my fourth time in Bologna and my second at this hotel. I chose it because it is very accessable to the city while still being partly surrounded by a farming area. It is more than adequate, but certainly not five-start lodgings if that is what you are looking for. Like all larger hotels I have stayed at in Italy, when it is full it does have a hard time keeping up with breakfast. If you go at the wrong time, you may have to wait for hot food (eggs and ham), or even be left out. So, you must get down to breakfast earlier rather than later. The restaurant serves good food that (compared to good restarants in the area) is over priced. The advantage to the restaurant is that you do not have to travel from the hotel for a good enough meal. The staff generally speaks English, so if you are a non-Italian who speaks English as a primary or secondary language, you will find this helpful. Nice bar, well stocked. Pleasing lobby with enough seats. I would go back to this hotel again if I go to another International Book Fair at the Fiera.
“Great for a few days....”
Very comfortable and accomodating. Great if you're staying in Bologna for a few days or an overnight stop, but if staying longer you may want to be closer to the centre! Taxis to and from town add up, but the desk staff were very helpful and made booking transport easy!
“Bologna San Lazzaro”
Although out of town, the hotel is situated reasonably conveniently for everything in the city. The room was clean and very comfortable and a good size. Service was friendly and efficient. The only disappointment was small portion of food served at dinner in dining room.
“Last resort”
The hotel is good for businesses having trade shows, but it is a distance from town the train is unpredictable and it's best to get a cab to town which adds up.
