“very nice, quite location on a hill close to town”
only 10 min. walk to La Croisette, located in a beautiful neighborhood away from the crowd. Great breakfast (expensive as everything in Cannes), free parking. Good hotel value in Cannes for the money. Quite and very clean. Only the service at the bar is lousy.
“Good value, good service, fairly well located.”
The hotel is reasonably well-located in a residential area about a 20-minute walk to the main street by the beach, and has a regular free shuttle to that area as well. It is well-maintained, staff were helpful, and the room was adequately spacious, especially by European standards. Would stay there again, though if I were able/willing to pay more I would stay closer to the main boulevard that runs along the beach.
“Excellent Hotel”
We stayed two nights at the Novotel in Cannes. The people could not have been nicer or more helpful. The room was lovely and clean. We ordered room service twice, and the food was excellent. The main shopping district was within walking distance (about a 7 min. walk). Definitely would go back.
“this hotel was much more than i ever expected”
got a great deal on expedia. loved the hotel. stayed there with my wife, 2 year old, and 10 month old. couldn't have been happier. the rooms were clean and very modern. the hotel is in a quiet neigborhood. if you don't mind a 10 minute walk, it is really easy to reach the city center and beach. unless you have major problems walking, the walk back up is totally fine as well, though uphill. can't wait to stay there again.
“Great Hotel in Cannes!!!!”
We stayed at this Hotel for 3 nights in July. First thing: July is very hot and humid there in the French riviera, would not go there again in the middle of summer!! I lived in Las Vegas for 10 years but this French heat was much worst. About the hotel: This hotel is not on the beach , it is in a residential area, about 10 min walk away from all the shopping, restaurants and beaches. We loved the are. It was quiet, and we had great sea views from our patio. This is also the only hotel with free underground parking (that could cost you an other 20-25 euros / day) and free buffet breakfast ( very very good with lots of fruit, meat, pastries etc.) and free wireless internet access in your room. These things got me sold and I was not disappointed. The pool area in not super fancy but pretty nice. Pool is though pretty deep, so not very good for kids. They charge 8 euros/day for sun bed around the pool, but one level up they are free. I have to mention that they had many kids around (we don't have kids) but I noticed that they had many many cute programs for kids, they had a whole playroom for them, and many entertainers for them (I am not sure if that was free or not) In the evenings they had different programs in the restaurant around the pool with live music, dancing etc. Great little resort. i would recommend to stay here. For the price it was great!!!!!
“Perfect for Cannes”
This is in an upscale neighborhood area, 15-min walk from the main Cannes attractions. Internet worked fine, which is very important. We liked the view of the hillside dotted with nice houses, and the pool area was inviting. The gym is small, but has a nice view, while you are on a treadmill. It provides a sense of tranquility away from the main area, and the service is friendly and accommodating.
“Would stay here again”
We enjoyed our short stay at the Novotel Cannes. Although the hotel is not in the center of Cannes it is located in a very quiet residential area. A free shuttle bus service is available to take guests to and from the town center - it gets busy at night so be sure to book in advance. The buffet breakfast is excellent with interior and exterior areas for dining. There is a great swimming pool and sunbathing area. Would certainly visit again.
“An above-average hotel made great by excellent staff!”
The hotel is neatly settled ten or so minutes walk outside of the town and sea-front in a residential area and thus, a nice quiet location. Rooms are a bit small, but the decor is satisfactory (root vegetable pic. not withstanding!) and the cleanliness is up to scratch. We had a standard room with a "mountain view". Truth be known, it's a view of the houses on the hill, but fine. A few days in, the Head Concierge upgraded us to a superior room which is a bit larger and a pool/garden view, which was nice. The staff are lovely; friendly, helpful and attentive. Children are well catered for, spoiled even! Housekeeping, concierge, kitchen/bar/restaurant staff; all really excellent. Several of the staff are local people and are pleased to be able to help you out with local information and opinion on where to go, where to eat, etc. if you just ask. During our stay there was a motorcyclists convention, business event and a wedding, none of which got too noisy or disrupted our holiday, such was the logistic skill and hard work of all the staff. Buffet breakfast is good. Shuttle bus has to be booked with 8-seats, but walking to town or beach is perfectly do-able for all but the very young or infirm. The only thing I'd like to see changed is the pool. It's too deep for children who don't yet swim well. At it's shallowest it's 1.6m but not by the steps! The two steps are 1.7m and 1.8m. I'm 1.91m, so just keep my head above water by the time I reach the bottom of the steps!
“Nice and comfortable Hotel”
It was a quiet nice hotel, the rooms were clean, nice attention, it had free parking. A bit far from all the action, but quiet. Mainly a family hotel, the service was excellent. The first day they told us the breakfast was included, which was not, and later they did not charge us for the breakfast. That was really nice, we appreciatted the gesture. We enjoyed it and would repeat it. And highly recommend it.
“A lovely hotel”
Really nice hotel in a great spot just a short walk from the main centre, but away from all the noise and commotion. The pool is lovely, although freezing in April despite the really hot weather, but as it was April we vertially had the whole pool and sunloungers to ourselves. We had a problem with room service, and when we complained we got a free dinner for two at the restaurant. The choice at the restaurant could have been a lot better, so would recommend you go down by the beach. Not all the restaurants along there are ridiculously expensive. Cannes is a lovely place and we'd like to go back.
