“great location”
Very comfortable hotel! conveniently located to the many great shopping venues and restaurants. Would definitely stay there again...although the breakfast was pricey!
“average all around”
Staff was helpful in finding the location which is a bit out of the way, just barely walking distance from City Hall, airport bus drop off. Typical European style no shower curtain, so a bit messy. Room is what you pay for, simple, clean, small. They allowed me to check in early, around 10am which was very nice of them.
“Avoid this hotel”
I was so angry with the quality fo this hotel i felt motivated to write my review the 2nd day of a 4 night stay. On arrival when i discovered i was to be placed in a room next to the reception and restaurant areas on New Year's Eve I immediately requested a room change. However, the receptionist felt the alternate room on the 3rd floor was too small and advised to stay with my current option as there would be alternate rooms available after Sunday, if need be. Regardless of the party which went on until after 2am the room was constantly noisy with either guests coming in and out of the hotel or restaurant, kitchen activity - preparing breakfast, coffees. washing stacking plates/glasses, dropping glasses - I HEARD IT ALL. I never got more than two hours sleep at stretch without some noise occuring. The English channels all had a reception problem. You got 35-40 seconds viewing then a 5-7 second error message then 35-40 secs.. and it went on like the whole time so you could never watch any news item uninterrupted. The floors were not carpeted and bare stone which was cold considering temperates outside were 11C. This meant you could not come into the room, take off your shoes and just relax! For a three star hotel i would have expected room service but alas nothing of the type except for hot drinks which i am sure when i get my bill are extortinate! A very sour evening manager who was approachable! This hotel is nothing like the pictures or previous reviews.
