I had high hopes for this resort. Where to start.. from the moment you land you are bombarded with people trying to sell you excursions. They do not take no for an answer. After being in travel for 12 hours capacity to manage the onslaught was tough. We find our prepaid shuttle because the resort doest have one. We get to the resort and the onslaught continued .. agressivly asking for us to upgrade to "diamond status", this was $50 a day per person, for not a whole lot. We began to check in and of course the room wasnt ready, i cant be upset we were there 4 hours prior to check in. They took our luggage that had our bathing suits and we just had to site for 4 hours in the lobby. Despite choosing and paying for a king size bed with an ocean view, they didnt have it and wouldn't until the next day. So they gave me our room number with 2 queen beds. The receptionist was poor at her job to say the least. She gave us a 300 credit to use. We didnt learn until checkout we needed to go to guest services to redeem and only certian services were covered...me and my partner had an amazing experience at the spa, but im not sure i would have went if i knew it was going to be full price...gone $400. This was never explained and we lost out on that opportunity.
We were then greeted by another staff member who decided to try to sell excursions and upgrades. We told him several times we were all set and just needed to get settled...he begrugingly walked away and we never heard from him again
