“Exceeded Expectations! Highly recommend Sarayi!!”
You never know what to expect until you get there but Sarayi exceeded our expectations on all levels ... we had a large spacious and clean room, it was also very quiet. A walk directly across the road and you're at the beach. The staff and service of the hotel was outstanding ... friendly, resourceful, helpful and generally just fantastic. We were truly regretful we couldn't stay longer than the 3 nights and will definitely return for a longer stay and to check out the many activities and attractions. The only (small) negative comment I would make is that the roof area where the pool is could be more 'atmospheric' ... some cushions, plants, fairy lights, decoration etc, something to keep in theme with the fantastic architecture of the building itself and to soften the starkness of the upper level. Would definitely recommend this hotel!
“Fabulous stay!”
The hotel was clean, bright and staff were very friendly. The room had a lovely ambiance. The staff upgraded me to a hotel-style room at no extra charge. I was driven to the airport, which was very convenient and most helpful- as well as saving the cost of the taxi fare! I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay in Palm Cove. The location is excellent.
“Great location, but hotel is lacking.”
We stayed in one of the ground level back rooms. There is no view, and you have to keep all drapes closed anyway since anybody could look in on you. We sort of felt like we were in a prison since we didn't have any natural light coming in. It's not a comfy room considering the tiled floor and lack of furniture. We stayed four nights and didn't get any housekeeping services (maybe that's typical?). Since it rained a lot, our floor got pretty dirty, so the housekeeper came and mopped it upon my request. Also, we had to ask for more linens since ours never really dried between showers. Speaking of showers, the hot water was unreliable. Speaking of unreliable, so was the free wifi. The best part of the hotel is the staff. Hayley, in particular, was great -- helping with booking tours, giving recommendations, etc. And they did provide umbrellas to us for the rain. The complimentary airport transportation service was also very nice.
