Self parking: Parking is FREE for 1 vehicle per room. Undercover, secure parking is provided throughout all room types and should you wish to use this just pick up a garage remote from Reception.

On The Beach is made up of 7 buildings, each with its own swimming pool and BBQ area. With 5 buildings having only 6 apartments in their complex, the property may be fully booked however you could still be swimming on your own in the privacy of your own swimming pool.

Central location: Restaurants, cafes, shops and local tavern are a mere 5 minute walk away.

Tennis Court: As mentioned we hire tennis equipment. We have a full size tennis court which is availalbe for our 2 and 3 bedroom beachfront apartment guests. For $5 you can hire enough tennis equipment for a family of 6, for up to 3 hours. Great value.

Outdoor Spa (Jacuzzi): These is an outdoor jacuzzi availabile for guests staying in our 1, 2 and 3 Bedroom beachfront apartments. Enjoy between the hours of 7am and 10pm.

The 45 apartments of the On the Beach Holiday Apartments offer one, two, and three bedroom configurations. Housed within seven buildings, the two and three bedroom apartments have internal access from each particular building. One bedroom apartments are accessed from external corridors. All apartments face the ocean. Three buildings front the property at street level, closest to the beach, with views of the beach or ocean. Four buildings at the rear are elevated and provide ocean views, garden views, or beach views. Six of the apartment blocks have staircase access, and one has an elevator (lift - please request at time of booking). All apartments have once-weekly housekeeping included. Bedding includes cotton sheets and quilted covers or duvets (comforters). Microwaves, cook tops, kitchen and dining equipment are provided, as are complimentary tea and coffee making facilities upon arrival. Broadband and wireless Internet access (surcharge) is also offered. Massage can be requested as an in-room service.

Why not enjoy an aussie favourite right on your doorstep? Each building has its own BBQ locaetd within tropical landscaped gardens. Again, with 7 available, you are sure to be able to access one whenever you would prefer to eat at home.

Etched along the shores of Trinity Beach are our FREE Council BBQs. These are immaculately kept each morning by our local council and are available for you to use free of charge. There is one straight across the road from our property.

Each kitchen in the 2 and 3 bedroom apartments is full sized with large fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, oven, cooktop and all the utensils required for family living.

The 1 Bedroom apartments have a kitchenette. This is a smaller kitchen with everything supplied. The main differences are that there is only a mini bar fridge (140 litres), there is no oven, however there is still a 2 burner hot plate. A Convection Oven is available for use upon request. Pots, pans, plates, cutlery and everything else is still provided.

“Fantastic Cairns hotel in Trinity Beach”

We just returned from a vacation in Cairns and we stayed 4 nights at the "On the beach" Seashell apartments in Trinity Beach. There were 8 in our extended family group. The 2 lovely apartments faced the ocean and we were thrilled with the ocean views and the beach. The apartments were spacious and comfortable, with 2 bathrooms in each. We used the BBQ poolside on a couple of occassions for family dinners and it worked out great. We initially worried about being so far from the center of Cairns, but we had 2 rental cars, and we didn't miss the busy city bustle at all. There is an IGA a few blocks away and a large supermarket in Smithfield, about 5 km down the road. We have traveled in many places in the world, and Trinity Beach will be amongst the favorite places we have stayed. On-the-beach holiday apartments were perfect for our needs. We will never forget the incredible sunrises from the 2nd story balconey. Highly recommended.

“Trinity Beach”

The room inside is pretty well kept up and comfortable. You just have to remember they don't clean your bedding or sheets and you only get 1 towel each unless you pay extra. We were also suprised that we had to pay an extra person charge to have bedding for the sofa bed even though the room was booked with two people. The location is nice if you don't want to travel to cairns often - otherwise its a 1 hour bus ride or a $50.00 cab ride. The beach is nice and the swim area is right in front of the condo but your across the road and some trees from the actual beach. There are only 4 places to eat and they are all pretty expensive but they all had decent food.

“Great place to stay!”

Trinity beach apartments is a beautiful place to stay, very affordable and pretty central to everything. The lady at reception Melissa was amazing!!! She was very attentive to our needs and helped with organizing all our activites. I would definatly be going back to on the beach apppartment.

“A stone's throw from the beach”

Clean & comfortable rooms. Managers are very helpful and friendly. They even held our room for a night (with our things in it) whilst we went down south. And then when we came back for a couple of night, they were happy to give us the rooms at the same rate we got through Expedia. The only regret I have is that I didn't have more time to relax there! (We were up in nth Qld to rescue & treat animals affected by Cyclone Yasi)

We were up in the Cairns region to rescue and treat animals (mainly wildlife) affected by cyclone Yasi. The first week were were there we stayed at a motel in the city, which was fine. But I wanted to be somewhere nicer and was lovely to wake up in the morning across from the beach. Still very close to Cairns. We had to travel in about 30mins to get to the southside but that was fine. Only takes about 1.10hrs to get to Mossman Gorge, part of the Daintree National Park. So not very far to most things. There is a Thai take-away and pizza place and IGA supermarket at the local shops in Trinity Beach. We had a hire car but there are local buses (only $3.60) that travel to and from Cairns central. The accomodation said they can book a shuttle to the airport (at $25). If I had to go to Cairns again, would stay at Trinity Beach again.

“will always have fond memories”

the holiday was great and it was sad to leave Cairns, we had a great time. The service provided by Melissa at the reception desk was friendly, polite and courteous, the kids enjoyed the pool and when they got bored being in the pool they would run across the road to the beach to have a swim, we all loved the beach. The restaurants around the hotel was great, we had thai the first night and the food just amazing and authentic. The people in cairns are very friendly and warm and we would defineltly recommend this treasure to others.

“Great location and facilities”

“Wonderful place but......”

During our flight to Cairns from the USA a person on the flight had a medical emergency resulting in our flight making an emergency landing. This caused many passengers to miss connecting flights, including us. I emailed On the Beach Holiday Apartments that we would be delayed yet when we arrived there (after having little sleep for nearly 2 days) no one was there to let us into our rooms and we had to, at midnight, find somewhere else to sleep. The next day they were very apologetic and paid for our hotel in Cairns for the night we should have stayed there. Moral....... Many condos have no staff after 6pm so beware if you are arriving late. Other than that we loved staying there and would stay there again. It was outside of Cairns but the bus to Cairns was 2 blocks away. There were several quality restaurants within walking distance of the condo. The beach is small but beautiful. Waking every morning to noisy parrots and cockatoos was delightful! When you get tired of the beach there are many things to do nearby. Great central location.

Trinity Beach area, Cairns area. Great Barrier Reef!!! Rainforest although drier that I thought it would be.. Atherton Highland - very interesting but lacking in good food.

We went to this part of Australia because we wanted to explore and enjoy Australia's natural wonders. Various members of our group went diving and snorkeling on the Great Barrier Reef, skydiving, white water rafting, hiking in the rainforest, off-road exploring with 4 wheeler. We saw kangaroos and wallabies in parks everywhere, wildly beautiful cockatoos and lorikeets woke us up every morning. While hiking on a lake trail we saw a playpus swimming. A donwside is that everything is very expensive. This trip was a special occasion for us (my son's 30th birthday) but otherwise might be too expensive for say a week long jaunt, especially because it takes so long to get there

“Lots of stairs!”

Be aware if you want an ocean view that there is no lift and you could be on the third floor in the building behind gound floor units. Didn't worry us...size of unit great and everything in good working order. Receptionist very obliging. Pools on site small but you can get a key to access larger pool next door.

“Fabulous holiday apartment”

not plush or luxurious but really family nice 2 bedroom aptment with enough for me to cook great seafood dinners for us. Beach across a service street is hop, skip n jump away but we also have a pool inside gate for the kids to wear themselves out in. Melissa was really helpful with tours and is a lovely person, so helpful and warm and welcoming. We loved this place!

Traveller's tip

L'unico's gets alot of praise - we found it to be expensive and overrated. BBQ sauce destroyed fresh oysters on the shell, overgarlicked pasta n just stingy with the bread. Loved the toffee date pudding. Women i guess are supposed to be girrrrls - get drunk and cackle. Men seem to be addressed first like they decide the tips.
