“Excellent Value for Money”
We needed a hotel near to Gibraltar and this Hotel was perfect. Rooms were light and well decorated and comfortable. Superb Buffet breakfast and will be booking again and also recommending to lots of family who go over to see our family in Gibraltar and La Linea
“Excellenty views”
Hotel very good, All rooms had balconies and plenty with sea views. Large ample terrrace and pool. 15 minutes walking distance to Gibraltar border with easy bus service into centre of Gibraltar for £1-50 return
“Loved Gibraltar”
This was a good place to stay to visit Gibraltar. If you pre-pay for the buffet breakfast at check in it was a great value. The food was very good in either case.
“The best hotel in La Linea”
This hotel was well worthy of its 4 Star rating. It was well managed and in a good location for access to the centre of La Linea and Gibraltar. The buffet breakfast, which was included in the price, was excellent. The room was always kept clean by the staff, who left flowers etc after cleaning. We had requested a room with a view of Gibraltar and were placed on the 5th floor. This provided us with a view of the harbour and Gibraltar. Unfortunately the hotel conference centre had been built on the Gibraltar side of the hotel and this blocked the view for many of the occupants (bad planning). The only other criticism was the requirement to pay for the in-room tea and coffee. Having lived in Gibraltar in the 80's we frequently travel back to the area for holidays. We most often stay in La Linea, which is currently unspoiled by British tourists (English food and beer etc). The town is truly Spanish, so if you wish to experience the Spanish way of life it is great. However, if you wish to lay on a beach all day and drink English beer, go to the Costa on the East side of Marbella!
“Very impressed - excellent value for money”
Excellent hotel, good rooms and service. Breakfast was good and included, although only evaporated milk for tea drinkers! Well placed for gibraltar itself, with excellent views of the Rock. Only 5 minutes walk to the border and airport. Few flights mean no disturbance. Not very much around the hotel itself, but was not a problem for us. Highly recommended
“Great hotel”
The name of this hotel implies that it is in Gibraltar, but it is in fact over the border in Spain (I should have realised when I was looking at the map of the hotel on the wesbite). However, the hotel is only about 10 minutes walk from the airport (if you walk fast) and our family of four had an interesting time crossing the border between Spain and Gibraltar many times over the course of our holiday. It also meant we had 2 hols in one because we were able to have 2 experiences for the price of one. The hotel was great - clean, quiet and comfortable with 4 sun ratings. We had a lovely view from our balcony and it was bliss sitting down with a drink looking out at the marina in the evening. The staff were friendly and polite, and we got good service. We went in October half term and only saw one or two other children. The clients were mainly older folk and tour groups, but this suited us fine. There is a small clean beach only 200m up the road, which was warm enough for us to go swimming in when sun was at its peak at 3pm, and we enjoyed lovely weather all week.
“lovely short break.”
Hotel better than expected. Convenient for all we wanted to do. Great fun walking over 'the border'. Short walk from airport. A lot of building work going on outside the hotel.
“Well worth checking out”
The hotel is very convieniently situated for flights in and out of Gibraltar, especially handy for stopping over when travelling further afield. The room was well appointed, clean, tidy and comfortable with a plesant view over the marina. As a female travelling on my on on this occasion, I felt quite comfortable in the hotel. The facilities were more than adequate. The breakfast was especially good but I think the evening meal could do with a re think.
“Seaview”
Having been unable to check into our room as we had arrived at 11 AM and the room wasn't available until after 2pm, we went over to Gibraltar for a spot of shopping. On our return we were given access to our room, and what a room. A corner room with balcony and views over to Gib and the marina. Very spacious room, excellent breakfast, all healthy, no fry-ups here I'm afraid, all tasty and nutritious. Location of hotel, size and quality of room and very helpful staff makes this THE best place to stay whilst visiting Gib !
“Good choice if you want to be close to the airport”
You perhaps wouldn't want to book a holiday here (bit of a huge, souless hotel mainly for business folk) but it's an excellent choice if you're looking for somewhere very close to the airport (5 mins walk) and much cheaper and better value than those in Gibraltar. Plus huge buffet breakfast!
