"Was upgraded to 2 bedroom apartment with balcony and view over the river. Large apartment, kitchen adequate, could have done with a few more standard utensils (tin opener, scissors, 2 oven gloves rather than 1). Whole apartment needed some tlc. Tap loose in the en-suite and loose floor tiles. Settee very lumpy too. However, bed was clean and comfortable which was the main thing needed. Towels and toiletries provided along with tea, coffee and milk. Only stayed 1 night and got bargain price so...

"Brilliant place to stay as a family, very clean and lovely place to stay, location by a private farm in the sticks you’re surrounded by grass, views, water and horses it’s beautiful. Great size accommodation and with modern kitchen and bathroom making staying here great. Located close to mainly areas, Beamish, Newcastle, Durham etc. Can’t recommend this place enough a lovely cozy warm stay."

"We had issue with our original property. However, it was esybto communicate with the staff and they promptly moved us to a different property which is even much more better than the previous. Staff were courteous and responded to our needs promptly. Its been less than a few days we moved out. Hence, i am awaiting a refund of the deposit paid. Otherwise, i appreciate the service provided."

"The Hen House cottage was a great place to stay for our trip in the Durham area. The village of Brandon is a beautiful location for going for walks in the countryside and with a great pub/ restaurant called the Bay Horse Inn on 50m away it’s a perfect place to stay. The village is very close to the historic house, chapels and gardens of Ushaw and Brancepeth Castle, which are both excellent places to visit!! "Arrived to find directions sent us to the wrong place. Arrived at apartments and checked in. Room on 2nd floor. No TV remote. 50% of LED spotlights not working. No light switch near bed (so had to stumble through dark room to bed). No reading lights. So eventually to bed. Next morning dived in shower (quite good) to find NO TOWELS. Very disappointed "
