“affordable, convienent and comfortable”

hotel is modern euro style. but a 15 minute walk from the river area of resturants and shops. Only negative is walk back is all up hill. Would stay again.

i found the south beach area, not walking distant from the hotel to be an neat area.

“Late Sunday check out a great bonus”

A very comfortable& clean place to stay just a short walk to the Brisbane mall, our main destination for the w/e. Don't go expecting a view. The building next door is not that attractive! The room was very clean and comfortable. I loved the thick towels in the bathroom. The staff were all super friendly and helpful - at the door, front desk, restaurant and the lovely lady, Lyn, who cleaned our room. But, the real bonus of the Novotel is the late Sunday check out. It meant that we could spend Sunday enjoying the markets and the mall, then return to our room, freshen up, pack our shopping and head for the airport without having to worry. It really meant a full week-end of enjoyment, not just a day and a bit. Biggest problem: breakfast on Sunday morning. The dining room could not cope with the number of diners. We were apologetically told there was at least a half hour wait (it was 0930) and perhaps we should consider ordering room service, as there were 4 of us, we were not keen on that idea, so we ended going elsewhere. Just as well there was a late check out or we would struggled time-wise.Our pre-paid breakfast was refunded at check-out.

“wonderful king sized bed”

we loved staying here . The breakfast buffet included in the rate was excellent, service fabulous , and the room very very comfortable. King sized bed was very comfortable +++, and the flat screen tv very large. Also there are some computers available in the foyer and internet acces is free. Would definitely stay again

“Excellent 4 Star Hotel in a great location .”

I was very impressed by the service at this hotel . The staff were friendly , the room was comfortable and an excellent buffet breakfast was provided. The location is excellent as well . It's a 5 minute walk to Central Station and 10 -15 minutes to The Botanical Gardens and Roma Gardens

“Mixed Experience”

I arrived at midnight, the front reception staff were very nice, I woke the next morning to order breakfast to find it had finished at 10.30, it was now 11 and was told to go to a cafe around the corner, I decided to walk into town and subsequent trips from then on were difficult as there is a 4 lane freeway out the front with difficulty finding access to get across the road. The next morning I ordered breakfast and they didn't deliver it, I called to find out that my order had been lost, this staff member was a lot more helpful and got breakfast up to me straight away. The minibar didn't have much stock. Overall I was a little disappointed for such a brand name hotel it didn't live up to what I thought it would be. A little too far out of town for me as well.

Area recommendations

Went for a university conference, would stay closer to the gardens next time.

“A great escape”

Prompt & efficient service by check in staff. Room was well furnished and quite roomy- very comfortable with everything that you would need. We used some of the facilities like the pool and restaurant and enjoyed them totallyy. The highlight was the amazing complimentary breakfast. There was such a wonderful choice of fresh healthy foods- well presented and very tasty. A great getaway weekend at a lovely hotel
