“Great value for money for a family of 4”
my pet hate !! greeted by ....Are you right ?? but once checked in, the hotel was great for our family of 4 - 2 x Adults + 6&8 yo, The parking out the front is metered so the $10 parking fee is reasonable. There was a party going on a couple of rooms down - loud music and lots of corridor movement, once we notified reception, the hotel staff dealt with it very promptly, and also the second time and also the third time, then the party people went out and it was then very quiet. This was our second time there, we felt the room was good value for money and I would stay there again.
“Free breakfast for kids”
Best part, free breakfast for kids, very nice surprise. Hotel was in town with a bit of a hike uphill to get back to hotel, not so good for the weary traveller
“Pity About The Service”
We stayed in a king room for 4 nights & the bed was fantastic, very comfortable. The lights could have been brighter, no good to read a book. On our last night, after being out all day & getting back about 5pm our room had not been made up. I was not impressed. I spoke to the duty manager & was told the housekeeper had finished for the day. He offered a bottle of wine, which I must say was very good, clean towels & replenished the tea & coffee. We made our bed up!!!!!! We ate in their restaurant that evening, the service was very slow, not enough staff. The Rum Baba, which one would assume had rum in, was dry & no taste of rum. When this was mentioned to the restaurant manager? she thought it was a joke & then she realised we were serious, said "I will tell chef", no other comment & she walked away & didn't finish clearing the table. However the other staff were very polite & helpful.
“Inexpensive and close to City centre”
Hotel is clean but needs updating/maintenance. Staff are extremely eager to please. Main problem was lack of room service. Need to order from restaurant downstairs and then pick up. Meals served in plastic containers with plastic knives and forks.
“Needs a refurb”
Having stayed in some of the nicest but cheapest hotels from Sydney to Brisbane, we found this hotel distinctly average. Nice location but in need of some updating. The pool was not in an obvious location and on a shaded side of the building.
“Great location,shame about the food!”
We were very comfortable, the staff were very attentive, however the disappointments were no functioning in the TV remote control; the doors to the balcony were so badly worn(the rollers) we were unable to access the balcony :(; the restaurant menu was disappointing, limited and uninspiring

the lady at the desk was so rude, this really ruined the experience for us. The bed was mega comfy. every time we came back to the hotel we are greeted by a pile of cigarette butts on our balcony which as a non smoker disgusted me. Parking was overpriced and the carpark was difficult to maneouver as it was so tight with poles everywhere.
“Very comfortable”
Had been before about 2 years ago. We were provided with a couple of bottles of the beer we drank the most often last time as a complimentary welcome back. Breakfast not as extensive options as last time. Staff very friendly at all times. Excellent beds, which is why we came back, as my wife has back problems on poor beds. Superior rooms vastly better than their standard rooms. Fairly quiet area, but in easy walking distance of the Roma station (out to airport and beyond as they say), and the towm center.
“needs an overhaul”
Not just outdated decor, but worn and dirty, with holes in the sheets and a leaky shower. The staff made me sit and wait before I could check in, saying my room wasn't ready, while others got their rooms. I've been in worse, but not many.
“Very poor hotel!!”
Checked into hotel hoping that it would be nice and fresh following the "$10 million refurb". Very shabby around the edges and certainly not deserving of the stars it has received. We flew in from the UK and had 6 large cases. No porter (they never have one) on the door and no help from reception staff following our 24 hour flight. Reception area looks like its from the 1970s. Not refurbished very well. First room we were given smelt of smoke (even though apparently non-smoking) and also very scruffy. Corridors and lifts look like havent received refurb. Second room (after complaining) was marginally better. Stayed in lots of hotels around the world and on the website this looks great. Does not live up to it in real life!
