“Nice hotel.”
Lacks a fitness room but otherwise completely servicable. Nice breakfast but the internet was slow. Close to restaurants and shops.
“Nice, if they had finished it.”
The hotel could be nice, once it is finished. There were buckets in the corridor to collect water from leaking pipes, my door could be pushed open without using the key, hammering all day, most of the time there were people in my room doing repairs, etc. It was a mistake to open the hotel when it actually wasn't completed. During my 2 day stay I had people come in to install the TV, a telephone, move in a table, internet wasn't working in the beginning, the shower door wasn't installed, my colleague who stayed next door didn't have a hair dryer, etc. I was on a business trip and had 4 boxes shipped to the hotel; one of them was lost/stolen and at the moment of writing this review a few days later it has still not been found. The staff were very friendly and did their best. The rooms were actually quite nice, and there was plenty of parking around the hotel. With everything else going on however it was not an enjoyable experience.
“BEWARE its Fawlty Towers..a disaster at the moment”
Where to start...the hotel was under construction still but yet were accepting guests! This is a 'spa' hotel but no facilities were open or could even be viewed! Workmen everywhere as well as dust and dirt! The rooms were not ready until 6pm upon check in. Dirty buckets of water all around the corridor, ceilings were open revealing dirty areas, doors were not all lockable. The rooms themselves were not finished either! The wardrobe had no rail, but yet I had lots of hangers. TV and internet not connected until I pushed for it - in quite a dramatic style. The bathroom shower had no door, no toiletries were given at all - thank God I'm a business traveller and carry my own. A nightmare with internet as they were frantically trying to organise, but we didn't get this until very late on the first night - causing a very angry guest who needed to get work done. Constant interruptions from workmen but also for some reason children running around the corridors. The staff were friendly and helpful but pretty useless to be honest. They lost my colleagues marketing items and never followed up with us - their reaction 'oh its been lost or stolen, sorry' All in all dreadful! DO NOT GO NEAR UNTIL AT LEAST THE SUMMER. Area is a little dull to be honest, and I wouldn't stay there again even when its been finished, much better can be found just next door and down the road if you want that area. BEWARE!
“Very disappointing!”
We booked this hotel for 3 nights to celebrate our 20th anniversary. When we checked in we were told that the fitness centre and swimming pool was not available for use yet! Well, why were we not told that prior to booking it? We paid 24 euros for breakfast for one night and were then given our room key. When we got to the room we found that our toilet seat was broken, the room was dusty due to the on-going refurbishment works and we could smell the drains! The toilet seat was quickly fixed after complaining to the receptionist. In the morning we went down for breakfast, this was disgusting and we regret not going elsewhere to eat! On the second day i left a tag on the door knob requesting for our room to be cleaned, when we arrived back later in the day we found that the cleaners had not been so I rang the receptionist who had apologised and confirmed that the cleaner had gone home for the day! In summary, I would not recommend this hotel to anybody?
