“Great place to stay in London!”
Situated near St Paul's Cathedral in the City district it's a little out of the way for most of London's attractions but the St Paul's tube station is only a five minute walk away. Very good amenities at the hotel....fitness centre, free internet service from three computers in the club room. Room was large by London standards and well appointed. It's definitely where I will stay for future trips to London.
“Way underrated”
To me, this hotel was decidedly a 4 star. It was far more than my girlfriend or I needed as far as the quality of the hotel is concerned, because we are young cheap travelers. The only problem with the hotel is that it is not in the dead centre of the city, but it certainly is not far out. A five minute walk puts you right on their major strip, and another five minutes from there brings you to every major attraction in the heart of Arles. The rooms were HUGE for Europe, the hotel was ornate with a gorgeous restaurant and a nice swimming pool. The staff was very friendly. Overall, we required much less, and I would try to find a cheaper hotel next time, but this one is certainly worth the money for those who desire 4 star quality, despite the 3 star status.
“A reasonable hotel”
The hotel was quite comfortable without being outstanding. It is a 5 or 10 minute walk to the town centre (though it is a long way from the station as that is on the other side of town). The general amenities of the hotel were really good (the lobby area, restaurant etc) but the room itself wasn't that great. It was a fair size but the decor etc was quite worn. Overall though, quite acceptable.
“Good for the area”
I wasn't immediately pleased with this hotel, but it grew on me. The staff tried it's best to communicate me despite the language barrier, and it was very much appreciated. Food was minimal, but the hotel was a short walk from a variety restaurants and one of the main roads. Everything was in good walking distance, though it was a bit far from the train station. The shower was annoying and confusing, but that was the only unpleasant thing about the place. It was fairly empty when I went, so it was always pretty peaceful.
“It's an OK place. Not much more to say.”
Most of the hotel staff tried to be helpful but some were surly, especially the snooty waiter at the hotel dining room. Stingy with room supplies; eg. two skinny bars of soap for a nine day stay. Don't leave the window open; there is a switch which shuts off the air conditioning. It's either fresh air or AC, not both. Location is outside the area of interest. It's approximately a 10 minute walk to the old part of town.
“well priced and convenient”
Though a little out of town it is within pleasant walking distance of the centre. The staff were friendly, the rooms comfortable and as described. The swimming pool may not be luxurious but it is a welcome feature in the heat of the provencal summer.
“Good base to explore from”
A little out from the main area - extra 5 mins walk - but very convenient access from main road for drivers and good parking. Quiet hotel, very clean, relaxed and with nice swim pool. Room (we had a family room) excellent, with separate room for adult to kids and quiet. Only gripe was breakfast - continental style with some hot food (sausage & scrambled egg) but not huge selection and slow service / attention from the staff in replenishing plates, glasses, cutlery, milk etc. All other service great and efficient. Certainly good value for a family room.
“Great place to stay for a resonable price”
- Nice setting - Rooms have sufficient space + amenities - Awesome buffet breakfast (will cost you though!) - Secure parking lot (free) - Good rates ( i was there in the off season though)
“6 Days in Arles”
We spent six days in this area of Provence, making Arles our base. The hotel was bright and welcoming and our room was clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly. It was a good location for arriving in and leaving Arles on the many trips we made in our rental car. Breakfast in the restaurant was okay, but the one dinner we had there the lamb was tough. The central square is only a 10 minute walk.
“so so...”
Very conveniently located to visit Arles. Staffs spoke English and were very helpful. The Hotel had been recently refurbished but not all of the rooms were (we were given one of the not yet refurbished one....it was a little smelly and the bath tub was not really....clean). Overall, I would stay again but would absolutely reccomend to book the more expensive rooms.

Area:
Arles, France: Founded by the Greeks in 600 BC, Arles then became little Rome. Roman remains include a remarkably intact arena (now used for bullfights), baths, theatre and a vast necropolis. But this compact city on the Rhône is perhaps best known for its colourful houses and winding streets, depicted in so many of Van Goghs canvases during his prolific period here. The excellent Van Gogh Trail is marked by plaques embedded in the footpaths.
