“On the Beach at Least”

I had actually stayed in Boracay an extra day and moved from a penthouse suite to this place so I might be a bit biased, but the penthouse suite cost the same amount since I was travelling with a group. The hotel is located right on the beach, and the service is good, but I think my main problem was that the hotel is trying to be something it's not. First off, it's very boutiquey, and I didn't even know what that meant till I got there. It's like it tries too hard to be all modern and cool, but under the facade, it's actually in disrepair. I know that's difficult to convey so let's get to a few specifics. * wireless didn't work from my room, had to go to the lobby * bathroom smelled bad, not that it was unclean, probably just bad sewage control * it rained, there was major flooding in the ground hallways of the hotel In summation, it wasn't bad, I just feel you could do more with your money in Boracay. You could probably stay at 7stones for the same price, and the experience would be a lot better.

“Pleasantly surprised”

I was originally trying to book a room in Discovery Shores but they were full. I was very happy that I booked in Le Soleil. The best asset of this hotel is their staff. They're very friendly and accommodating to our needs. The hotel itself is on the beachfront so it's very convenient and accessible. The buffet breakfast is good and they change the menu everyday unlike most hotels. Will definitely come back!

Getting there
Grab a Philippine Airlines flight to Caticlan. You can arrange the airport to hotel transfers with Le Soleil for a hassle free arrival and departure.

“Didn't Stay Long Enough”

Originally looking to book for 2 nights but took a chance and made it a 3 nighter - should have extended for a week! The hotel was literally steps away from the beach, and the location in the middle of boat station 2 was ideally situated for those wanting to bar hop. Considering the close proximity to the restaurant bar next door, our room was very quiet! But if we had anything to complain about it was the very loud music in the upstairs lounge, where our ears were assaulted when we wanted to watch the people strolling by while we sipped our drinks. The hotel staff were very helpful in attending to our needs, and responded rather quickly if we needed something. Here's a tip that we try and practice wherever we go and it usually works - try to learn the names of the staff and treat them with courtesy and respect and you'll be responded to in kind. Hotel staff are not slaves, no matter who you are or how much you think you've paid for the accommodations... It's not only you get what you pay for, you get back what you dish out too. Singles, couples and family friendly. We would definitely consider choosing this hotel again when we go back to Boracay. Reasonably priced, we got our money's worth!

Area recommendations
The walk from one end of the stretch of beach to the other is full of hotels, bars, restaurants, shops, tattoo, hair braiding and massage parlors (all outdoor). Near the middle of boat station 2 is D'Mall, where there are more restaurants (I recommend stopping by to see Mike and grab a bite at Bistro Vahalla Boracay), souvenir shops and bars (and massage, tattoo and hair braiding parlors). At the other end of the mall you can catch a tricycle for a ride around town, rent a dune buggy for a trip to the highest peak on the island, or charter a banca for some island hopping and snorkeling (all of this can be done on the beach as well, as there are marked points and licensed operators of the island's offerings of activities.

“Good Location, great security at the beach, bed too hard!!!”

The staff were friendly and helpful. The security guys at the beach are excellent (thanks Chito and Alan). Location is great, but the bed is very hard.

Getting there
The Caticlan airport is so much closer than Kalibo. Try to get this even if its more expensive. It is well worth it. From Caticlan airport to the port is around 5 to 10 minutes by tricycle. And cost P25 (pesos) each. The Kalibo airport takes to the port takes about 90-120 minutes by bus. There are at 3 taxes to be paid when you arrive. It is more annoying than anything. A bit disorganised but you should get the hang of it.
What to pack
Don't forget to spray yourself with aerogard as there are mosquitoes at dusk.
Dining
Lemon bistro at the d'mall has good western-style food. Heideland has excellent european sandwiches but very expensive. Well worth it though. The italian restaurant (part of the mandarin, a few doors on the left of le soleil) is not that good. The salad is very average so is the service. Nigi-Nigi is good too and the prices are quite reasonable.
Nightlife
Charhls bar has good slow rock music.

“Excellent Hotel so far”

Everything is excellent except the loud music coming from the bar across our room. Maybe because we are close to the music bar. Staff are very corteous an the ambience of the room is a sure winner. The pool is nice and my son really like it than the beach water. Definitely i will go back again soon.

“It's all about Location”

The hotel is centrally located, friendly staff, good breakfast, clean and comfortable rooms. Additional facilities and more luxurious accommodation will bring in more clients as the location is already perfect. We give it a 7 out of ten.

“okay hotel”

the customer service was excellent; the shower had some problems and on hindsight I would have preferred a room upgrade. But it was quiet, very close to all the places we needed to go and happy hour was from 5 to 10!

“Sun,Surf and Sand in Boracay”

Boracay in early October is lovely. We did experience some days of heavy rain. We were able to spend some part of everyday at the beach. Le Soleil is located on the beach. We could sit in the shade of the umbrella and order food and drinks from the bar. Periodically vendors would walk by with things for sale. At night the hotel had a BBQ on the beach or you could walk around until something else caught your interest. The upstairs lounge offers a great deck to sit and people watch. The pool area is private in a nice courtyard also there is a bar. The workout room was adequate and there was a conference room that seemed quite large. Internet access was not a problem. The room we were in was very nice and we were quite comfortable. We throughly enjoyed our stay and would return.

Area recommendations
We stayed at White Beach bcause we wanted a beach vaction. It really was in the center of White Beach close to everything. The shopping area was close we walked everywhere however you could hire a taxi (more like a beefed up golf cart) if you wanted to travel or rent bicycles. Boracay is small and you have access to all the beaches. The hotel can arrange your outings or you can let one of the many vendors help you out. We went for laid back relaxing days in the sun and surf and we were not disappointed.
