“hotel design amazing”
really nice hotel.
“Excellent hotel”
View from room great if like looking at damp however other than that hotel was excellent food and free breakfast room service was excellent bed was lovely and great tv channels oh was no air con but they supply free fan
“Fanatastic hotel, food superb and staff helpful and friendly”
We stayed 3 nights last week at this hotel. I was quite apprehensive as the hotel price was about £100 cheaper than surrounding hotels, but we only wanted to sleep there so didn't mind what it was going to be like. Included in our price was breakfast and one evening meal. Breakfast was hot which is unusual and the evening meal choice was wide. It was a central position and also with secure parking. We will return.
“Great value for money”
Very good value for money compared to other hotels in the area. Room was clean and smart and had extra towels, pillows and blankets. Good location and easy parking. I would recommend this hotel. Only down-side was no air-con in the room. But overall very good.
“Margaret”
The hotel was clean and the staff all very pleasant. We did not have dinner in the hotel but breakfast was excellent, not greasy as some can be. The staff were very attentive at breakfast and the reception staff were efficient and polite. The rooms were good, having visited 3 of our parties rooms there was no difference in the quality and cleanliness. Overall a good choice of stay.
“Good Value”
Good value hotel for bed and breakfast. Room was comfortable and breakfast was extensive and one could help oneself to as much as one liked. Staff were friendly and courteous. Only issue was the room was rather hot.
“easter break”
pleased with the hotel as got it for a very good deal with dinner included. room was very clean and comfortable. the only downside was some noisy guests but as it's a city centre hotel this is to be expected I will certainly use this hotel again if i'm visiting birmingham as it's very convenient for everywhere
“Not really impressed”
The hotel itself is ok although it looked deserted and a little scary. I parked the car here and there weren't many cars there. No security a nd the following day the next car to mine had had its window broken. Don't think I will go there again.
“not a 4star!”
not impressed with the look of the hotel but the room we had served its purpose. We booked the getaway deal which includes dinner on the first night, nice restaurant with a lovely waitress but with hardly any of the dishes on the menu, the waitress said because it was bank holiday they had run out of scallops, steak, tiramasu, lemon meringue, wine, etc. It was a good job there were only six of us in the restaurant or we would have gone hungry. Afterwards we went for a drink in the bar we were served by th worst barman ever, he had no interest in serving us then halfway through he just left us to have a chat on the phone. Also not impressed being charged £3.50 a day to park in the hotel car park.
“Clean and comfortable but lacking in services and amenities”
This hotel was very clean and comfortable, as was my room (keep in mind this is a single room in the UK, which means it's the size of a large walk-in closet with a twin-size or slightly smaller bed). The bathroom was clean and had a huge tub, but the toilet seat broke on my first night, was "fixed" and broke the next night again. The seat seemed to only be attached with some kind of adhesive instead of screws, so a little side motion broke it loose so it slid around every time I sat on it. The employees I dealt with were polite, but there didn't seem to be many of them. I tried to ring the front desk for over 15 minutes one night and no one answered. The hotel directory lists an assortment of services available through the TV but in reality you could only use it as a TV, not access the internet or check out with it. There was also an empty cabinet in the room that appeared to have held a ironing board but which was empty. The hotel also lacks any kind of amenities for purchase, not even vending machines for drinks and snacks. This wouldn't be so bad if there were any stores nearby but the hotel is pretty much surrounded with other hotels and residences so your only option is to order room service if you want a Coke or snack in the middle of the night. So, while I recommend this hotel for being a clean and comfortable place to stay, don't expect a lot of services or amenities.
