“December 2011 couple visiting.”

Excellent breakfast, large swimming pool, quiet and spacious room with big bed, professional and English speaking staff, everything in excellent condition are the plus points. Mattress was slightly firm for my liking and shower was OK but not hugely powerful. Location is nearly opposite zoo aquarium - a few minutes walk from Zoo station (direct train to Schoenefeld takes about 35 mins) or Wittenbergplatz station. Its a good location for West Berlin shopping (Kadewe or Kurfurstendamm) and restaurants round Savignyplatz. If you want to see sights near the Reichstag or Potsdamer Platz allow 30 minutes walk, or longer for museums and Dom - these can be reached easily by the (inexpensive) underground system.

“Brilliant hotel”

For the amount we paid this was absolutely brilliant: the room was really clean and spacious, and the spa and swimming pool were lovely. Really close to all forms of public transport (s-bahn,u-bahn and bus) and the staff were really helpful, particularly the concierge who recommended restaurants for us that were close by! Would definitely stay there again if I went back to Berlin.

“Thoroughly Enjoyable Stay”

We were fortunate enough to stay in one of the rooms which had just been re-furnished, next to the Spa. The room itself had plenty of room and was finished to a high standard. It was very welcoming to come back after a hard day's sightseeing to such a comfortable room. The only very slight criticism I have (which is why I gave a 4 for comfort) is that the pillows were a little soft for me personally. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel to everyone.

“will definitely return”

our only complaints about the hotel were that the pool was out of comission for two out of the three days we were there, but we were offered facilities at another hotel nearby, and the pillows were a bit soft for our liking and the meals a bit pricey but there are plenty food outlets at hand, but that aside, everything was excellent in the hotel and we enjoyed our stay very much

“Can't wait to go back”

This hotel has wonderfully spaceous rooms and public areas. The wellness area with pool and sauna were clean and well maintained. The service in the restaurant was exceptional. Amazing breakfasts! The only negative was that the non-smoking room we had reserved was not ready upon arrival. We were compensated for this fact however. Good concierge service.

“Perfect Location for West Berlin”

The sightseers the City of Berlin is amazing. We had four full days and 3 nights in the City and feel like we have only scatched the surface. The Berlin people have a very polite and laid back approach to life and this calmness makes for a wonderful atmosphere where ever you go within the City. The hotel was of a high standard with a modern decore, the staff were helpful and all spoke excellent English which was so helpful with my limited German. The hotel location was very closed to the bombed church and the Zoo with shops, cafe's and restaurants close by, we did not eat in the hotel because we wanted to get out and understand the culture. We explored a lot in West Berlin although ventured to East Berlin and because the weather was so nice we walked alot of the time although bus and underground links are very good. When returning I would like to stay in East Berlin to make the experience different. The City has so much history and it is an eye opener to remind yourself just 20 years ago things would have been so different for our generation living in the city. The exhibitions we viewed such as Toptography of Terror also gave a lot of food for thought about the 2nd world war.

“Great place to work”

An elegant, friendly and fine hotel. Great pool and delicious breakfast. Could do better on making porridge. Otherwise, an excellent place to stay near the Zoo.

“Good location”

Very good location and very clean. The buffet breakfast is way too expensive... The staff is young and helpful. Nice place to stay.
