The staff were extremely helpful and the room was much bigger than expected. However there was a building site right next to the hotel and this meant our nights sleep was disrupted. Also there were no tea and coffee making facilities in the room and no mini fridge.

Room was big and empty, nothing like what is on the pictures. Be careful, there is absolutely no A/C in all of the rooms in this hotel. There was construction next door so very noisy and impossible to have a late morning sleep. Also, the cleaning staff kept on knocking at 8:30 AM for room cleaning. The bathroom was up-to-date with a nice big bathtub and clean tiles.

Berlin Marathon respite
I visited Mark Apart hotel end of September 2021. The check-in was easy. Had to show passport and vaccination card. The room was in the back of the 3rd floor which was a little disappointing. The hallway was dark and there was an empty vending machine on the floor. I was hoping for a balcony room. The bed was firm and pillow was one huge pillow. The key also controlled the electricity....which meant when you leave the room you take the key out the electricity shuts off. Interesting eco feature. Sucks if you were looking to charge a electronic equipment while you were out. The comforters were comfortable but hot but there wasn't a thermostat or air-conditioning so we were hot most nights. Best part of the stay was breakfast. Definitely a great selection, nice clean dining room...bring your own wash cloths.

Next to this property is construction going on, there is no parking. Before booking this hotel I specifically paid attention if there is parking, it was not. Information provided to Expedia is misleading. I guess there is no parking do to construction, but nothing was mentioned. It was a big disappointment for me as I had a business meeting set up and had to go to a different hotel where I parked my car to get things I need.Parking was also 20eur , not 14eur.Hotel need some refurbishing, in my room 102 it was difficult to regulate water, water was so hot.The "BEST" was a receptionist who after I paid city tax by credit card start coping my card, when I asked what she is doing with my card , her reply was that I give to Expedia different card and she needs to take details from this one. I said to her that this is the only card I use for my travels and for Expedia. So, my ADVICE TO WHOM WIL READ THIS REVIEW. DO NOT TAKE OUT OF YOUR SITE YOUR CREDIT CARD , BECAUSE WHEN YOU CHECK-IN AT THE RECEPTION YOU GET A PAPER WHERE YOU HAVE TO GIVE YOUR FULL ADDRESS, ZIP CODE , YOUR NAME, EMAIL, TEL. NUMBER. THAN YOU GUESS WHAT MIGHT HAPPEN IF RECEPTIONIST IS NOT HONEST AND COPIED YOUR CARD.

Dear Ivan, we are very sorry, that you are disappointed regarding your stay in our hotel. Actually, we have our own parking but it was blocked for two weeks because of the construction next to us. There are a lot of possibilities, where you can park your car ( not only across for 20€). According to the low, every guest must fill this form out. Actually we do not need your phone number and noone must give it to us. you have paid to expedia and expedia provides us a virtual credit card, which we can use only for booking the amount for the stay and not the extras ( such as City Tax, Beverage, Breakfast ) We need to take the number of your card when booking the money, couse otherwise our system does not accept the payment. Once you check out, the system deletes you CC number, so you do not have to worry about your security. We are are continuously improving and renovating our hotel. Most of the floors are completely refurbished. We are very sorry for your inconvinience and hope though you will give us a second chance. Best Regards A. Petkov - FOM

Hotel is in a convenient location and rooms are pleasing for a 3 star category. However I was most impressed by the breakfast room including both soya and lactose free milk, as I am lactose intolerant. I recommend the hotel, in particular those with a health concern.

Great location but poor management
Stayed for 5 nights. Changed rooms twice..There was very very weak wifi reception if any throughout the hotel. Even in the lobby...Lots of excuses yet no solution. Noticed the maid was using my old sheets in the room I was checking out from for the next customer...Totally unexceptable.... Rooms are large but no fridge....

A terrible experience be warned cleaners thieves.
Booked double room, got two single beds pushed together. Rooms are dirty, walk with bare feet and your soles or socks are black...The hotel cleaners stole my hoodie the first day of cleaning, second day stole the two Christmas markets mugs..this time complained and was told by the rude girl on reception the cleaners are not hotel staff...hmmm yet they employ them?? When threatened to call the police she phoned the cleaning company and lo and behold they admitted taking them and brought back the next day (no hoodie though) excuse given was they thought we had checked out, despite all our clothes, toiletries still in situ...what a load of lies, end of day the cleaners stole and were caught out...beware of staying there unhelpful staff, rude and untrustworthy and will never stay there again

Worst WIFI Ever
Hotel was okay, it is very old. The rooms are big but old, very little comfort. The breakfast wasnt for us, we ate elsewhere. Overall the hotel was easy to find, about a 15 min walk from the train station. The area is very nice, lots of shopping and good eats. However, if you need wifi like I do (needed it for work) please stay somewhere else. The front desk gives you "tickets" to get online. However, you do not stay connected, you have to reconnect every few mins and usually receive the "too many users are logged in" error. I had to work from a local cafe most of my stay here.

The hotel was decent and in a good place to walk to local attractions. I liked that we had a bedroom and a living area. The décor seemed a little old and could use some updating. Lack of parking was a negitave.

If you need wifi work, stay away from this hotel!
Not sure where to start: I stayed 6 nights here and was not able once to get on wifi and done some work - Response from hotel "We have lots of guests so the network is busy" Asked for iron and iron-board, "We don´t provide this service due to safety reasons, it is only an obligation from 4 stars and up" The room has "acquired" a smell, and you just can't seem to get rid of it - had to have both windows open at all time!! Was not worth it the couple of bucks saving!!

A nice hotel in central Berlin, quite close to the Zoo and the Kaiser Wilhelm church. A 5 minute walk to the U1 Uhlandstrasse station. Great selection of breakfast foods. The only problem was with the 2 single beds forming a 'double' that had wheels and were distancing during the night, creating a gap.

A little effort could make a big difference
Hotel OK but needs some tidying up and staff need smile be happy - Front desk OK but dining staff very frigid dont look at you or welcome you for me the need understand that we assist pay their wages and they need be friendly not frosty. In 6 days I stayed there not one of restaurant staff smiled or spoke to me once . Outside and on patios - need tidy up a bit as pretty untidy and not cleaned, Having said that - room was fine and clean as was bathroom

Good hotel for a short break
This is a basic hotel for a short stay, in a fantastic central location and close to public transport (very convenient if you arrive in Berlin Tegel or by train) and local amenities. Our room was spacious and comfortable, but in need of renovation (especially the carpet and the bath). Breakfast was good, although a bit expensive. Access to the wi-fi was a bit slow and unreliable, disconnecting after a few minutes of use (really annoying!!). The staff was very professional. Nothing to complain, we certainly would go back.

Cheap, Cheerful and perfect for a city break
This is perfect for someone who is looking for somewhere to stay during their break to Berlin. It's not your 5 star room but you get a lot more than your money's worth. Free wifi, massive rooms that are cleaned daily and very helpful staff. Located just away from the hustle and bustle of the centre but you're always only 20 minutes away from any attraction. I would recommend to anyone looking for a cheap decent hotel whilst visiting Berlin

Good location
The carpet had many major stains. Make sure you do not walk bare foot on it. Otherwise, it is conveniently located and has a good breakfast. Staff was pleasant.

Close to transport and shopping
Great stay in the heart of Berlin. Quiet area off the main street. Only draw back is lack of service at night as everything has to wait till morning. No night concierge or receptionist

Good no-frills hotel, great location
A hotel that does the basics well - the staff were friendly, the room was basic, but clean. A bit shabby, but surely one of the most affordable hotels for this kind of location.

Coming from the us you may not know where to stay my choice was a good one, in a very good location. Great value and a clean hotel.

Good stay, close to designer shops
The hotel is a little bit too far out from everything, a good 15-20 min walk to the shops which are in a high end area. Hotel room was huge with free wifi but for only one device at a time. Flat screen tv and shower room also great. There were lots of stains and a bad smell to the carpet so we kept our socks on the whole time! Saying that we were only there for a full 24 hours before travelling again. Room fit for purpose with lots of space, not bad if you don't mind a short walk. Not very many bars without walking further and many of the closest shops are designer. No breakfast included in the price this was an additional 9euro each per night so we stuck with local breakfast/ pastrie shops. Overall a good stay, the zoo is around a 25min walk away. Would maybe stay closer to the shops/attractions or in a different district next time.
