“A great hotel whilst in Berlin”

This hotel is well placed for public transport links - it is only a few minutes from the U Bahn (Ernst Reuter Platz) or Savigny Platz (S train). To get to and from the airport you can easily get the airport express train to the zoo station and then one stop on the U Bahn to Ernst Reuter Platz. The rooms are not huge but adequate, spotlessly clean with a super shower and nice toiletries. There are plenty of breads, cold meats and cheeses for breakfast and there was a limited hot choice. Boiled eggs are cooked fresh to order. They offer a wide selection of teas and these are provided all day from 2-9 complimentary to hotel guests. There are also some snacks provided too. This is a really welcome touch when you return from walking around the city. For the price paid this was an excellent choice. The street is quiet and there are many restaurants close by.

“An excellent place to stay”

Warmly recommended. It is an independently run hotel, and it shows. They really care for their guests, and go the extra mile to ensure the best possible stay. The food is good, location excellent - in a relatively quiet street, but close to restaurants,subway station, shopping area and other attractions. I would definitely stay there again, if I return to Berlin.

People are very nice. Breakfast until 12. Cookies, tea and cafe til evening. Quite a diferent hotel. Charm.

“Great hotel in Berlin”

I was very pleased with my stay at Hotel Otto. Everyone was friendly and helpful. It was close to both a U bahn and S bahn station and very easy to get to other areas of Berlin. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. I definitely would recommend Hotel Otto. Its a quiet area and not much nightlife around it so it depends on what you are looking for.

“Otto Berlin”

Staff was extremely courteous and helpful. Rooms were adequate, but for the location (downtown Berlin) they were very good. Free snacks on top floor were very good. I would stay again without a doubt.

“Excellent hotel to explore Berlin from”

We were amazed at the quality of this hotel, as we really didn't pay that much to stay there. It is in a really beautifully part of the west side of the city with S and U Bahn stations within walking distance and lots of top quality international restaurants nearby. It may be a bit too removed from the Mitte area in the east for people going to Berlin for the nightlife but if you are traveling there for business or to explore the city's museums, galleries and historical sites then it's perfect. The room was much larger than we are used to and the staff were all extremely friendly, helpful and fluent in English. Facilities were good and we particularly appreciated the free Wifi and laundry service. Our complaints are minor but worth quickly mentioning for future visitors - house keeping didn't replace soap (but we got replacements as soon as we asked reception) our room was opposite reception so we heard everybody coming and going in the mornings and our bathroom window opened to the car park where people went to smoke, which meant that our bathroom filled up with cigarette smoke when we opening the windows while showering. But in the grand scheme of things these are minor problems and mostly particular to the room we stayed in. We would certain not hesitate to go back to Hotel Otto next time we visit Berlin.

“Best breakfast ever.”

very clean hotel with good service in nice Berlin neighborhood, close-by subway and train access, many restaurants, street cafes and very safe neighborhood. the hotel is stylish, the rooms are very clean. the service was exceptional. adiitional to the wonderful breakfast buffet with roof-top view of the city is the free afternoon snack and coffee. 5 Stars overall. but if you are looking for a cozy little cute decorated room, you are in the wrong place. The rooms are scarcely decorated, very simple but stylish...

“Chic Hotel”

Excellent location, easy access to transport links. Room was large with walk in wardrobe. Staff friendly and helpful. Plenty of lovely restaurants within walking distance although many do not display english menu outside. If you ask they will supply one. Highly recommended.

“Awesome!”

Hotel Otto was a brilliant place to stay. The rooms were really nice & comfy, and the staff were brilliant! They helped us with anything we needed. They also had a really nice area on the top floor, where you could help yourselves to cups of tea and coffee, juice etc and sit out on the rooftop balcony if you wanted. Good after a day out sight seeing. It was situated in a good place, there were so many shops and places to eat. It was close to a u-barn and s-barn station, less than 5 minutes walk, this service was so reliable that we could get to where ever we wanted within 10-20 minutes. We stayed a week, and still didn't manage to get to see everything we wanted. We really enjoyed our trip to Berlin, and the hotel otto was a really nice relaxing place to wake up and come back to every day. I would recommend it completely! Hopefully one day i'll get to go back!!
