“Well Impressed”
Loved the hotel, although a little shabby in places, the staff more than made up for this with their friendliness. The room was very comfortable and clean. The gardens looked lovely from the windows (it rained quite a bit while we were there). Would have liked a separate area away from the wedding guests where we too could sit around the open fire. Food in both restaurant and bistro was excellent although we did have a little wait for the coffees; best bet is to get your coffees in the bar where you can relax in the comfy sofas. If you like potatoes you need to order a side order of them as you only get a tiny amount with your meal. Would like to go back one day and love to spend Christmas there.
“Extremely happy”
A comfortable relaxing hotel in a sensitively restored old building. Standard of accommodation, service and food was excellent, everything we expected. We would return anytime.
“Much better than an 'airport' hotel”
This is ideally located just 10 minutes from Belfast International Airport and offers a much better experience than a standard 'airport' hotel. Really attractive building, friendly staff and locals, a bar which is more like a pub than a hotel, and excellent food at reasonable prices (I had the bar snack but didn't try the restuarant however).
“Great Place”
My husband and I stayed at the Dunadry Hotel from Novemeber 23-27, 2005. We were very impressed with the quality of service we received. The staff was very accomodating. We had gotten up late one morning and missed breakfast. The hostess offered us coffee and scones in the conservatory. We enjoyed a very nice light breakfast. The rooms are clean and have all the toiletries needed for our stay. The linens were very comfortable and clean. The temperature in the room was a bit warm but was easily adjustable from within the room. The French doors were lovely and brought in alot of light to the room. The bar and reception area were great downstairs. After a long day of touring we found it very nice to relax in the comfortable chairs near the fireplace. The only negative we found was the wedding reception that took place in the hotel that Saturday. The reception completely took over the lounge, conservatory and seating area. We felt they should of left an area open for guests only. We would definiately go back to this hotel. It was centrally located, we could go into Belfast without a problem and also go up the North Coast with the same amount of ease.
“Danadry Hotel”
Very nice hotel, good price for this hotel not too close to airport to be noisey but close enough to drive to within 15/20 minutes..great service, lovely room excellent food at both breakfast and dinner!
“Interesting Hotel”
Hotel obviously 4 star quality but unfortunatley they had a lot of new staff and the first couple of days were a little trying for the bar and resturaunt staff getting the drink orders right. It was obviously popular a wedding venue and the service for those particular guests appeared to be very good. The draw back for guests like ourselves (on a 6 day break)was the noise created by wedding guests leaving the hotel late at night/early morning having had the odd celebratory drink. Generally though the food was good in the brassery resturaunt and on the whole the staff were friendly and helpful.
“Pretty but bedrooms disappointing”
The hotel itself was beautiful, olld style charm. Food was amazing! And the service from staff was second to none, we felt like special guests. I can't fail it on anything except the bedrooms. The bedroom was really dated (not old style charm, just dated!), in need of renovation, the bed could be replaced. We had went for the delux room but definitely didn't feel that it was in any way more luxurious than a normal room, would like to have compared the two as I couldnt imagine something less than the room we got. It was clean etc. so if you don't mind it being dated go ahead, but I had booked this as a special treat for my husband and was really disappointed, especially as I had chosen to go for an upgraded room!
“A beautiful example of an traditional Northern Irish Hotel”
I've stayed in The Dunadry Inn on two separate visits and recommend it to anyone who is looking for the quaint charm of a bed-and-breakfast but the ammenities of a 4 star hotel. The beautiful country location is still close enough to the motorway to allow for easy access to Belfast. The building itself is tastefully restored to retain character including hearths and massive wooden columns and beams in the lounge area. The beds were a little on the soft side. The staff were friendly and helpful. The "Traditional Irish Breakfasts" were very tasty (and I figured I could eat oatmeal for a month when I returned home!).
“Decent hotel, shame about the staff”
Spent one night in this hotel in march. My main impression was the unimpressive customer service - when we arrived we enquired about eating at the hotel and the receptionist said she would let us know. We expected her to call our room but we had to go back downstairs to find she had, thankfully, reserved us a table. Food was nice but the restaurant staff seemed completely disorganized and service was rather poor. When we left the bar we asked a member of staff what time the bar was open until and he said he didn't know and didn't make any attempt to find out for us. The room was very large - one double bed plus a single, comfortable and clean but not that warm. The room didn't have any character at all, bare white walls with little decor, but bed very comfortable. Overall, a decent enough hotel which could do with better customer service and more modern decor!
“Disappointing”
The condition of the hotel was very dissapointing and is badly I need of refurbishment. The rooms were modern and nice but the rest of the hotel was very run down.
