“Best around Tsinghua”

The only problem with the hotel is the check-in process - it was somehow too onerous because there were too many people there waiting to check in and only 4 staff handling all these. A lot of groups of tourists or some organizations took up quite a large part of the rooms...

“Good Hotel with Western Amenities”

Pros: --Very near to Tsinghua University, so it's a great conference hotel. --Near to a subway line --Lots of food options --Western-style toilets/hotel bar/breakfast offered with many Western options Cons: --Not near the center of Beijing-proper (about a 20 minute subway ride away) --Front-desk staff speaks very limited English --Floors 3-10 have wired internet but no wireless --Our room (Floor 8) had two twin beds --Some rooms come with breakfast and some don't, so make sure it's inclusive if you want it.

“Good location and facility but heavy smoking even on non-smoking floor”

The hotel, rooms, staff, and breakfast were all fine. The location is good too. However, the whole non-smoking floor and my non-smoking room were all saturated with cigarette smoke. I was new to China. So, I thought this was cultural. However, my other non-smoking rooms in three other hotels were far better in those terms.

“No WiFi”

No WiFi and whole hotel smells food. Some hotel people spoke English. Room was clean and quiet.
