“Free Computer”
We stayed in this hotel for 7 nights. Our hotel room had a free computer with internet access. Staff were freindly and very helpful. Excellent service for such a cheap price.
“Great Hotel for the money”
If you don't want to spend a bundle on five star hotel that cater to Western guests -- this is your place. Although the staff struggles a bit with English we also figured things out, and there were in fact lots of Westerners there - so it was a great place to mix and mingle with other tourists you could actually talk to in English. I don't plan on going back anytime soon, but the hotel is a good choice, close to the subway and in as safe a place as one can find in Beijing off the main road.
“Very good experience”
I stayed at this hotel for a couple of days visiting Beijing attractions. The hotel is centrally located close to Forbidden city and Tinamint square and the main train station, silk market and many restaurants within walking distance. The front disk service is very good with easy English communication. They have good services, like everyday tours to the Great Wall, safety boxes etc. I had a PC in my room with free broadband connection, they also have free broadband in the lounge. Breakfast is not free but it is very cheep, not that great but I could find a toast and a jam to eat, along with many other typical Chinese choices. The only down side of it is that the access to the hotel through small alley and most taxi drivers would not know the exact location and when they call the hotel they would drop you in the main street (2-3 minuets walking).
“Nice hotel central to Beijing”
ok i read the reviews before I went and was expecting it to be worse, but it was really nice. Modern and big roomed I was very happy. The beds are hard and they set the beds with a buckbeat (hard) pillow and a regular one. I actually had a really good night sleep twice despite having a soft bed at home. Hotel has a travel service in receiption if you want to go to the great wall which was competitively priced.
“Characterful convenient and excellent value”
In terms of value for money and central location, this is excellent - but it is difficult to find. Even with the phone number our driver took us to the wrong hotel - but it did not matter as they were used to this and very helpful. We asked for a quiet room and that is exactly what we got - but had no views! We had a 2 bed suite. Spacious with a dining area, sink and cooker hood - but no cooker or hob or 'fridge! The attached restaurant was also good.
“Hard to Find Gem within Beijing”
Great hotel after you find it. Rooms are clean and have excellent Air Conditioners and flat screen tv's. Plenty of lounge areas outside and inside the hotel for relaxing. Hotel is located in a hutong area that is a bit hard to find if you are not familiar with Beijing. If you walk east from the Beijing Station East Street, take a right after the large bustop area and walk south along a small hutong street. At the end of the hutong street and you will see a police station. Take a right turn at the police station and the hotel is on the left just past the Super 8 Hotel. The hotel is close to the Beijing Railway Subway Station on Line 2 subway and close to Jiangoumen subway station on Line 2. Hotel is also conveniently located near Cofco plaza which has a McDonalds, Starbucks and HSBC atm. My only complaint is that the bathroom area is open to the rest of the room. Some type of curtain would be nice. If you share the room that only has one double bed, you had better be best buds with your roomie because they can watch you use the toilet and shower.
“Beijing Zhong'an Hotel”
A real bargain hotel! I myself am a student traveler so I know the value of saving and this place for sure was a great value. Getting to it is a little tricky because its sort of on a "side" street. Other than that good room service and clean rooms.
“Nice hotel, a bit hidden”
The hotel had very good service and was quite clean. The staff had limited English speaking skills, but were very helpful. It is located near the Beijing Railway Station but it is a bit dark walking at night. It is quite difficult to find. If you are exiting the Beijing train station, travel east (right), walk past the bus terminal and make a right at the first light. Go until the end of the street and make a right. It will be on your left. You can also take the subway to the Beijing Railway Station and head east.
“Enjoyed our stay!”
The hotel was a bit hard to find, but I had some help from other reviews of this hotel as to how to get there. I appreciated that the room was airconditioned, and water was provided each day along with a hot pot and tea. The beds were hard, but comfortable. The restaurant served good food, and we were grateful that there was a waitress who understood enough English to guide us in ordering. We were very satisfied for the price!
“Beijing Zhong'an Hotel a Hidden Gem...”
I just returned from a 10 day trip to Beijing, China- stayed here the entire time. The small hotel is a short walk to both the Beijing subway and the Beijing train station- very convenient location. My room- a standard single, was quite small- just enough room for a large king sized bed. Room also had a desktop computer and free access. Small bathroom with shower only. Hotel service was good- room was always tidy and clean. Friendly, helpful, English-speaking staff made my stay a pleasant one. I'd stay here again without a second thought.
