“Fantastic”
Very high quality hotel which i would highly recommend
“Contemporary. expensive, safe and convenient to buses”
Except for one blond receptionist who made us wait for 4 hours for access to our room (after no sleep all night on the plane from Atlanta, GA), our stay was wonderful. The rooms are very spacious, clean and comfortable but access to any sight seeing must be by bus, taxi or rented vehicle. The food in the hotel very good but expensive with no nearby restaurants, although access to the bus line is right next door to the Hotel. The area is clean and safe with a (park like) area in front of the Hotel with a beautiful view of the cruise ships coming in to the port. If arriving early (before 3 PM) be assured when making your reservation that you can check into your room upon arrival.
“Beautiful hotel with incredible views”
My husband and I stayed at this hotel during our honeymoon in Barcelona and we loved it. It's beautiful, with very modern decor and clean lines. From our room we had a view looking out over the entire city and the shore. The room was large, clean, comfortable and beautiful with a very big bathroom including separate bath and shower. The only drawback might be the slightly less convenient location of the hotel. Being up on a hill overlooking the city it's not that easy to get to, especially later at night after the funicular stops running. We stayed here at the end of our trip after we'd already explored a lot of the city so it was perfect for us.
“Great 5 star hotel with magnificent view”
It is a very good hotel. The views are magnificent. The bathrooms are great and the wifi connection is fast. Can't say anything about some other hotel facilities cause I've stayed only for a night but generally everything (the lobby, the bar, the restaurant) look 5star. The elevators are quite retro but nothing can be 100% perfect.
“just fantastic! take with sea view balcony”
just amazing! stayed for romantic weekend. would surely stay there every time coming to Barcelona
“Magnificent Miramar”
Incredibly beauitful and modern hotel. The surrounding grounds are a park-like setting - be sure to take advantage after a long day of sight-seeing. I was surprised at how large the room was given what I'd read in other reviews about European hotels. The bed was extremely comfortable and the bathtub was a saving grace after hours of walking. After a couple of nights of braving different foods within the city, we ate at the hotel one evening and the food was fabulous. The staff spoke English and was quite friendly and helpful with any and all requests. The location on Montjuic is about a 10 min. walk from The Rambla and a 5 min. walk to the Paralel Metro, but the views of the city are gorgeous and you are high enough to be spared from the pollution/noise of the city. If you are a late sleeper (past 8am), you will be surprised by a funny popping sound which is a shooting range just up the hill from the hotel. We spent 6 nights in this hotel - it was well worth the $ - I would definitely stay there anytime I visited Barcelona in the future.
“Honeymoon”
A fantastic hotel, beautiful architecture combining the elements of old and new and friendly and helpful staff (without exception, well....one, but I'm not going to talk about her - bar staff!). The pool and gardens were tranquil, the pool bar and snacks ideal and came quickly. The location - ideal, just 10 minutes walk down the footpath next to the cable car station and you're at the top of Las Ramblas, but staying at The Miramar means your away from the hectic hussle and bussle when you want to be. My husband and I would thoroughly recommend The Miramar.
“Fantastic hotel - loved it, will go back!”
We found the Hotel MIramar to be a lovely hotel. Our room was very well decorated and furnished, with a lovely very large comfortable bed - always important! The loungers by the pool have deep mattresses which are very comfortable too, and towels are provided. We ate breakfast every day on the terrace overlooking the bay in the sunshine. Breakfast was expensive at 25 Euros each, but we felt the experience of a relaxing breakfast in such a lovely place was worth it. The hotel staff were very helpful all of the time, and the hotel was spotlessly clean. No compaints at all - apart from the firing range next door - when lazing by the pool or sitting on your balcony you have to get used to repeat fire - but it did not really detract from our holiday. We are planning to return to Barcelona and will stay here again.
“Hotel made the whole trip - will definitely be returning!”
Very impressed when we arrived early that we could go straight to our hotel room - no hanging around. Extremely friendly and helpful reception staff. Our room overlooked Barcelona/port/sea and views were breathtaking. Food in hotel fantastic but would recommend that breakfast is included in booking as very expensive. Will definitely be coming back to this hotel.
“A great choice”
We arrived about four hours before check in time and were in our room less than an hour later. When we were taken to our room the luggage was already there, a nice touch. The hotel has great views of the city and harbor and is a short walk from the old part of the city and Las Ramblas. The hotel supplied plenty of free bottled water an well as sodas. We woluld not hesitate to stay there again.
