“Friendly, helpful staff. Extremely convenient. (Right next to the major rail/metro station.)”
Can't beat the location. Nice young staff people. Great view of Montjuic. check it out when you go to Barcelona.
“Not really a four star hotel.”
We stayed at the hotel for two days. We were very impressed with the staff and their eagerness to give you discounts and directions to the major attractions. On the first day we arrived at 9:30 AM from Atlanta after a 9 hour flight and they let us in the room early where we were able to get some rest and tour the City on the On and Off bus for the remainder of the day. The beds are not really comfortable, but the room is very clean. The hotel restaurant food and staff were great. They do not have free WIFI. Since there were lots of guests coming and going all night long you could hear some voices in the rooms adjacent to you which may be annoying if you are a light sleeper. Also, there is a supermarket and other shops very close to the Hotel and the prices are great. I would highly recommend this Hotel.
“Good location for train to airport in the morning.”
I picked this hotel for the location next to the train station for transport to the airport in the morning. It's a nice tourist hotel. My wife & I had a nice lunch at a restaurant accross the street with their 10 euro special after we checked in. The room was spacious and we enjoyed dinner at the 10th floor restaurant by the pool. If you need a Barcelona Hotel with easy access on public transportation to the airport, this is a good choice. Just be aware it takes awhile to buy your train ticket in the morning at the Sants station next to it.
“Good Hotel for Money, better value than others”
Good Hotel overall. Location is right by Sants train station to the Airport and metro to the rest of BCN. No free wireless! Food in Cafe on 2nd floor was good.
“Fabulous hotel”
This hotel was excellent...I was there with my wife from august 1-august 6, 2010 ....the hotel room decor could be updated...but besides that it was very comfortable. The hotel is close to the Santz Train station...literally across the street. From there you can take 1 train and get to Barcelonas international airport in 20 minutes for less that 5 dollars...!!!! The hotel is close to the Pueblo espanol, and the National Museum... the staff was fantastic...Vicente...is the man to deal with...he is nice and knowledgeable about the whole city...ask him how to get to different places...what to do...he is the man period...he even gave us some free tickets to see the 2010 European Athletic Championships... Overall...this place is great for the price...hidden jewel...
“Smelly, Dirty, and Potential Skin Parasite”
This hotel was one of the worst hotels we have ever stayed in throughout our travels in Europe -- and we've traveled quite a bit. The bathroom was absolutely smelly and dirty. Every time we had to walk in there, we had to hold our breath because it smelled so bad. We even resorted to using public bathrooms before gettting back to the hotel so that we wouldn't have to go into our own bathroom. The beds and sheets were scary as well. We had to make sure we slept with long pajamas just to make sure we wouldn't get a skin parasite! The room was very much disappointing. We do not understand who rated this hotel as a 4-star hotel. This is a lie!! They advertised this hotel using pictures of the hotel lobby so that potential customers would assume that the rooms would look somewhat consistent to the lobby. This is FALSE ADVERTISING!! Travelers...BEWARE of this hotel. If you think we are kidding and you still want to go ahead and book here, do so. However, we HIGHLY RECOMMEND that you ask to see the room you're staying in first. Once you go in to check it out, we bet you'd walk right back out for sure.
“Not a 4 star, sleeping room 1 star at best.”
This hotel was listed as a four star. We were extremely disappointed in this hotel. Our room had cracked and chipped tiles on the floor. The ceiling had mold on the ceiling in the entrance way and in the bathroom. I am not talking about a little but a lot! The shower head was gross. The plaster walls were full of cracked plaster, the drapes were sagging, and there was a spider web on the ceiling hanging over one of the beds (about ten inches long). We would have checked out but our friends room only had a little bit of mold and since we had prepaid what could we do??? For reference we were on the fifth floor, room 531. We told the clerk at check out and she hung her head in shame and explained to us that there are three floors which have not been renovated and guess what? We were on one of them! We were very, very disappointed. The public areas were nice and who would think that the sleeping room would be so disgraceful/disgusting. The food was good-breakfast buffet and we had an excellent dinner on the roof which was reasonably priced.
“Counting the days to go back.”
Once I took my first step into the hotel I was overwhelmed and more than satisfy. The room that we were assign was amazing, it had a balcony and the view was spectacular. All was very clean and comfortable. The dinning area and the food was fantastic and much more. I will highly recomment this hotel to everyone who likes to be pampered.
“Stay somewhere else.”
I was dissapointed with this hotel. It was noisy and not as nice as I had expected.
“Ok for the price payed”
everything was ok, except for the final payment where there were several mistakes in the collection of the bills from the restaurants. The parking is far from the hotel. the hotel terrace was nice
