“Comfort in Monmartre”

The front desk staff were approachable and willing to help in matters of contacting attractions and booking a car to the airport. The room was comfortable and a pleasant place to return to after a busy day. Plenty of places around for cheap meals and to buy supplies. The only very minor drawback was the chatter of a small group who gathered in the park outside the building of an evening.

Area recommendations

Gardens around Paris are beautiful, particularly in early autumn. Must see areas include Bois de Boulogne, Luxemburg Gardens, Tuileries and Place de Voges. It is worth paying the small fee to spend time in the garden in Musee Rodin where the Thinker and many other of Rodin's works are displayed in a beautiful garden setting. Spend time watching the buskers perform on the steps at Sacre Couer before taking the time to sit quietly in the church.

“Excellent Location and Pricing”

A block off the marina, a quarter mile walk up the road to La Rambla. It seems everything is in walking distance. It was nice to be off the main road, very close to excellent restaurants. There is an Irish Tapas bar around the corner with great prices and portions. The rooms were clean, king bed (not two twins pushed together so someone gets stuck sleeping in the crack!), convenient kitchen and adaquate bathroom space. Modern interior, gilded gated entry, marble floors. We were very satisfied.

“The place was AMPLE in size only.”

We arrived early in the morning to find a locked door and a phone number with all directions in Spanish. If not for our taxi driver who made several calls on his cell phone, who knows if we could have gotten in. The apartment space was ample for sure, and the room clean. There was a small kitchenette. For someone who would spend several days in Barcelona, it might be a great spot. The owners need to specify the difficulty of little onsite management.
