“Impressed”
Very nice hotel with good quality service from all staff, no problems taking back visitors! A little off the beaten track with the sky train a 1/2 mile walk or you can use the complementry tut tut.
“Pleasantly surprised”
Bangkok is home to some of the World's finest hotels and Thai hospitality is generally 1st class but in both respects, the Davis didn't let the side down. It was a fleeting visit and for the money, my expectations weren't high but I really couldn't have asked for more. They upgraded my room, the staff were all super helpful, the fresh fruit came, the laundry did their thing, everything worked. It was modern, smart, friendly and efficient. The Davis can't be compared to the best hotels in town but for value it's a real winner.
“Devine”
This hotel was fantastic. My room was ultra modern and huge. The bed was large and the room was very quiet. The pool was lovely, one of the nicest I have seen with a bar next to it. The staff were very kind, courteous and professional. They also speak english. This is a high class, quality hotel. It would be hard to beat for service, style and value, and all for a very reasonable rate.
“Really enjoyed my stay here.”
From the moment I entered the hotel lobby, I knew this was a world-class establishment by the way I received by the staff. I am a lone traveler and was shown the utmost respect and consideration. I absolutely recommend the Davis, Bangkok.
“Comfort and Elegance”
I had the pleasure of staying at the Davis Bangkok for 2 nights. The hotel is situated on Soi 24 in close vicinity of Emporia mall and the Phom Phong Sky Train station which is a major plus. The rooms in the Corner wing are more cheery and brightly done than the Main building. Do not expect to enjoy any outside company or a massuese brought from the outside in the room since the hotel frowns on the same, but the concereige would be more than willing to arrange something for you outside the hotel. The Room service menu is concise and does not offer much, although the breakfast makes up for it (Buffet). I would recommend it for families and business execs. Soi 26 next door also houses some good Indian and Continental food joints.
“Wow!!! Best experience ever!!!”
We love this place. We actually moved from the hotel area to the Villas/houses in the back of the hotel. The service was absolutely incredible. The staff was so very helpful to our family. One house held my parents from Arizona and my brother and girlfriend from Tokyo. The other house was for my family from Wisconsin. Check out the spa adjoined to the Hotel. It was incredible. The complimentry breakfast buffet was rich and had incredible variety. The grounds and pool were beautiful and immaculate. The location was perfect. You cannot go wrong in either the hotel or villas.
“Charming staff, beautiful hotel, wonderful food.”
Great, great, great. Hotel buffet evening meal was fantastic! Staff very friendly, would help with anything you asked.
“Great place to stay!”
The hotel was clean and very good service. Rooms are big with lots of extras, books and magazines to read, a sink, microwave, they have taken that extra bit of trouble and made it comfortable(I booked the cheapest room). It has a bakery and supermarket across the street and Starbucks right next door. It is not near the center, takes about 1 hour by taxi. But if you intend to take day trips they leave from the hotel. I will stay there again.
“Great hotel”
clean and new rooms (we stayed at the main wing), friendly staff and nice location.
“A "Five Star" Gem”
The Davis is equivalent to a five star hotel anywhere. The rooms are large and beautifully apponted, I stayed in two different ones, and the service is outstanding. It also has a very nice pool area and the Spa rates were surprisingly affordable. While breakfast and internet were not included in the rate both were reasonably priced, and breakfast was very good. The street it's on is actually nice and upscale, there are restaurants, shops and banks within a short walk. The only drawback is that the BTS station is about a mile away, so it takes a good 12-15 minute walk. The hotel offers a tuk-tuk shuttle but only at set times, so you need to reserve a seat. On the other hand you can always take a taxi to the BTS, they are plentiful and not expensive. All in all this is probably one of the best hotels in Bangkok, and I have stayed in many. I highly recommend it.
