“will stay there again”

This is a nice hotel & the breakfast is very good. Friendly staff & some have now become friends. Only negatives for me was the sheer curtains were rotten & needed to be washed & the corner of the bed were lethal weapons if you happen to bump into them.with your shins. I folden a blanket over the corners to save me being a walking wounded.

Area recommendations
Soi 4 sukhimvit. Great atmosphere although a bit seedy & Not an area for the family holday.Great bars, great places to eat. plenty of street stalls. Best currency exchange rates can be had at bottom of steps at Nana station other side from soi 4.

“Pleasant Stay”

I stayed for two nights at this nice hotel. I booked the Deluxe King which had a large room with a decent King size bed. The room was a little worn but clean, the staff was extremely attentive. The free WI-FI had a fast connection and I did not suffer from interruptions. I was not able to try the free breakfast since I woke up late however, there are many restaurants nearby. The hotel is a five minute walk to Sukhumvit road. There are many watering holes and nightlife locations nearby that can keep you busy. I would definitely recommend this hotel for travelers on a budget

“Best Deal for the Price”

I have stayed at the Royal Ivory Nana several times. The staff is ALWAYS friendly and courteous. The rooms are good sized and have a refrigerator stocked with beer, soda, etc., good a/c, t v, in-room safe and wireless internet. There is a cozy pool area on the 3rd floor and a bar/restaurant in the lobby area. On the street level area (lobby) you can also find a massage studio, a tailor, a travel office and car service. The hotel is on Soi 4 and is a short walk to Nana Plaza and the local bars/pubs and restaurants. At the end of Soi 4 is Sukhamvit Rd. just a 5 minute walk from the hotel. The hotel is ideally situated to enjoy the night life but just far enough up the street to also be quiet getaway. The hotel is safe and clean and just about the best deal for the modest price.

Area recommendations
The area surrounding the hotel on Soi 4 is famous for its lively nightlife. There are many bars and pubs to choose from. There are also some very interesting items and bargains offered by the local vendors on Sukhamvit Rd.
Getting around
There is a car service offered in the lobby area and they have taken me to the airport in the middle of the night. If you plan to get around town for sightseeing or shopping, there are also several affordable taxis lined up in front of the hotel. My favorite driver is Porn, yes that is his real name, who has taken me everywhere in Bangkok. He has even driven me to Pattaya Beach and then picked me up 6 days later for the trip back to Bangkok. Settle the price in advance and then sit back and relax. He is honest, reliable and can safely navigate through the Bangkok traffic.
Nightlife
I like to begin the Soi 4/Sukhamvit Rd. nightlife in the late afternoon by stopping by the TAVERN on Soi 4. It is a friendly, American owned bar that feels just like the neighborhood hangout back home. It is a favorite watering hole for ex-pats and guys like me who keep coming back on vacation. The local Thai staff is friendly and easy on the eye. The food is Thai or American and very good. I recommend the cheeseburger (bacon available) or the BLT sandwich before embarking on a night on the town. I have no financial interest in the place but like to go there to talk with fellow customers, have a laugh with the pretty girls who serve the food and drinks and enjoy the grub.

“No problems staying here again”

The rooms are large and well maintain, there is a small kitchen and large TV, It was quiet except for the return of the late night owl's but that's Bangkok!!! The only thing the hotel could improve is the internet speed/conetion. I had no problems with the staff always friendly and helpful but I would not take a taxi from the front as they are not prepared to use metre, their fees are double, walk up to the main street.

Area recommendations
First time Bankok Kaosan Road (bring some ear plugs) good shopping, western friendly resturants and lots of beer. Good place to organise out going trips.

“Nice hotel”

This is a cheaper hotel and has the basic amenities for the traveller on a tighter budget. Room cleanliness was good and the airconditioning a little noisy chilled you to the bone ! The facilities in the room were adequate and the suite had the addtiional facilities of cooker, micro wave kettle and complementary tea and coffee. Te bathroom was ok, but showed a bit of wear and tear , but still acceptable. Internet access was good although the entry password would change every 48 hours. It was an unsecured link. Breakfast bar adequate with a decent selection of Thai or english food available. Area of location a bit rough , but hey that what soi 4 al about. staff friendly and courteous and the taxi service of the hotel secure reasonable price and safe. Must mention the foot massage avauilable at the hotle . Yep best 300bht spent thanks girls. would I stay again. yes.

“Royal Ivory Nana Resort Hotel”

The hotel is located at the far end of Nana Soi 4, you have to go through the bars and the clubs to get to the hotel. This is either the worst or the best part depending on how you look at it. It's great to watch people and grab a beer or bar girl, if that's your thing and it is a short walk to the other Sois. If you have kids it could make for a lot of questions. The hotel itself is basic but in good repair and the desk is helpful. Not the most up to date but for the price I couldn't complain. If you ask and use the desk personnel you'll find that they are helpful and knowledgeable of the area and how to get around and find things. All and all, a good place close the entertainment of the different Sois.

Area recommendations
You can walk to many other areas in about 15 - 20 mins. The elevated walkway is close as is the BTS.

“Royal treatment”

The staff is always very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is more than satisfactory. The internet service works well. The rooms are big and clean and have all the expected amenities. The location is very good if you like nightlife, and just far enough away from the bars that it is not noisy. Laundry and travel services are close by as well.

Area recommendations
Soi 23 on Sukhumvit. Good restaurants and nightclubs.

“Ripped off for the last time by Royal Ivory”

I had booked and paid for a King Deluxe (thru Expedia) but there were none available and I was allocated a small dilapidated room for the first night. This is the second time I have been ripped off by this hotel and will be the last. The only response available from managment is always "Mai pen rai" which roughly translates to "don't worry about it". No refund was offered.

“Would go back”

Great cheap 3 star hotel, breakfast and internet included. Internet connection bit slow at times and dropped out, but no great problem for me. Older property but clean. 10 minute walk to main road & BTS, but 20 baht gets you a motorbike ride to the main road. Would stay there again. Don't use the taxi's that wait outside they don't use the meters and are a rip off, just hail a passing one with the meter sign lit up, they are passing all the time. The laundry across the road is good and cheap. Safe to walk around 24 hours a day, but just watch the Ladyboys late at night, they sometimes try and pick your pockets, but no great problem to worry about. Nana 4 is were all the bars are, some good some not so good, take your pick.

Area recommendations
Suhkumvit between Soi 1 and Soi 23. Close to all the nightlife and the BTS, which is the best way to get around Bangkok. Takes you to the Chatuchak Wekend Markets, the main bus terminals, connects to the metro rail and takes you down to the river ferry at Sapan Taksin and on the way takes you past all the main shopping centres at Siam and Silom. The ferry takes you to China Town, Wat Pho, Wat Phra Kaeo, Wat Arun, The Grand Place and Khaoson Road just to name a few of the main tourist sights.
Getting around
Public transport, cheap and fast. Taxi's are cheap if they put the meter on, otherwise say no thanks, traffic can be heavy so they can be slow. for one up the motorbikes are a quick and cheap way of getting around. If you use a Tuk Tuk fix the price before you get in.
