“great!”
can't say enough good things about this hotel staff very friendly and helpful room very comfortable nice quiet street only a free 2 min ride on the hotel tuk tuk to the main road and skytrain digital safe in room excellent will be back again 4 sure
“already in my list for Bangkok.”
The hotel was quiet because it stood near the end of soi 8 (alley). Room on the alley side had view for small road not with many buildings. Facilities in room were OK and also B/F were fine for its price (acceptable). Travelling anywhere else in BKK.were very comfortable since the hotel had a golf car send us to the skytrain in front of Sukumvit road .
“Royal Asia Lodge Hotel Bangkok”
Very pleasant stay. The room was quite satisfactory for the price. The staff was friendly and quite helpful. I would stay there again.
“THAILANDJ-BKK TRIP”
GREAT HOTEL, LOCATION NOT TO BAD, FOR BOTH SOI COWBOY AND NANA PLAZA. STAFF WAS WONDERFUL, BREAKFAST WAS OK, WILL STAY AGAIN.
“Great Hotel.”
The room was clean and maintained daily. The food was very good. The staff was very, very helpful.
“Great value for money”
Location can't be beat, especially with the free 24 hour tuk-tuk to Sukhumvit, and proximity to the Skytrain and metro. The hotel rate was cheap, so I was not expecting too much, but in fact was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness, service and management. Room was a good size, very clean and well decorated. They have a great breakfast buffet (included in rate). Only thing I did not like was the taxi they arranged in advance to take me to the airport which overcharged me. I will definitely stay here again, but next time I will just get a taxi from the street when I'm about to leave.
“Decent at discount rates! Breakfast sucks - possibily worst non-hostel in BKK”
Decent but aged rooms. TV's from '70s? Service is friendly and efficient. Red Tuk Tuk (older than the TVs) provides service to/from Nana BTS station. Biggest negative: Breakfast is one of the poorest spreads I have had at any hotel in Thailand. It is now back to a buffet (for several months it was only a minimal breakfast set).
“Nice place”
This is a simple hotel that has breakfast available but it is usually not included in the rates we see on expedia. They have a free tuk-tuk from the hotel to the main street so even if you think this hotel is too far away, dont worry. Internet worked real well
“Good for the money”
The Royal Asia tends to be one of the less expensive hotels in the area. There is a pretty good complimentary breakfast on the 9th floor. The staff is pretty friendly and helpful. The rooms have a refrigerator, TV and A/C ( but the A/C doesn't always work very well.) If one can overlook the occasional inconveniences, it's generally comfortable place to stay for a few days. There is wireless internet service in the rooms, but it is often out of service. There are three computers with free ( for guests ) internet in the lobby and cables for laptops. ( After 11 pm the lobby is not usually available for internet service.) There is also a printer which tends to break down and is only hooked into one computer. The internet speed is usually very slow. As previously stated, there is a tuk-tuk shuttle that goes between the hotel and Sukhumvit Road. The walk to and from Sukhumvit road is rather long, especially with luggage, so the free shuttle service is very convenient. One can call the hotel from Sukhumvit to be picked up. For the money, the Royal Asia Lodge is a good choice.
“A few problems”
The hotel room was fairly normal except for a few items. The sink in the bathroom was not functioning well and the safe in room was unreliable.
