an excellent and wonderful stay awaits travellers at this 1st class hotel. in a great spot of the city and close to everything..this hotel exc staff and as good as any hotel in new york city..a 5 star hotel w/7 star quality and service to please . no one will be disappointed by this choice..and a tremendous breakfast buffet was superb!!!!

“Am hard to please..”

Would say I am hard to please, yet I really like this hotel. If you are going to Bangkok, you want a great location, superb food, safe, staff as good as anywhere, you will like this hotel. Their Rain Tree restaurant is the number three in all of Bangkok and more choices than one can imagine. The Sunday buffet is so good that you will see the who's who of Bangkok there as it is the place to be seen with the family. Last year I stayed there 20 plus times, after trying everywhere the year before. If you want a place to feel special and safe when you walk onto the street, do your self a favor and try Plaza Athenee.

“Extremely high standard and highly recommended!”

The Plaza Athenee Bangkok is a wonderful place to stay in Bangkok. It is centrally located, and close to most of the major shopping areas right in the heart of Bangkok. There are numerous eateries close by so one is pampered for choice. The hotel itself has an excellent standard of service and comfort. From the time you enter the staff are extremely helpful and go out of their way to ask you what kind of room you would like, a rarity in hotels nowadays. The rooms are large, around 370-380 square feet for a standard room and 450 sq feet for a deluxe room. The rooms come with a complimentary fruit baskets and newspapers daily, plus free water and snacks in the room. I have stayed in many nice hotels in Bangkok but what really sets this hotel apart is the level of friendliness and service provided by the staff, which really made me feel like this hotel was my home away from home. I miss the Plaza Athenee Bangkok, and can't wait to return.

Excellent service, royal club room is great! We received complimentary high tea time and cocktail happy hour at the royal club lounge. Breakfast buffet is great as well. Location is great, only 2 minutes walking distance from BTS skytrain station and 2 train stops from Siam Square, a major shopping district.

“A Great Hotel - Look No Further”

When planning my trip to Bangkok I reviewed numerous hotels on Expedia as well as reviews left by other travelers. Some reviews were questionable and other made me think. Well I found a great hotel in Plaza Athenee Bangkok. It is not far from Bangkok's Patpong and surrounding areas. The cab fare could range 50-60 Bhat which is $2 or less US and depends on traffic. Most fares range around 50 bhat to go from the hotel to Patpong and surrounding areas and attractions. The hotel is very clean, nice, and well-kept. The service was excellent as well as the tour desk arranging tours. There is also a night market a little ways down the road from where the hotel is. Also Siam Square has the Hard Rock Cafe, many shops and a taxi could be around 55 bhat, all depends on the traffic time. I looked at many hotels which was tiring and exhausting to try to decide which one would be the best to meet my needs. Plaza Athenee Bangkok is tops. I will look no further when I plan my next trip back. This was a great place to stay! I want to go back again. I had a great trip.

“Faultless!”

A great location close to the Skylink train and the great shopping malls in the local area. Arriving from the airport by train was a breeze. On arrival was upgraded to the Club Lounge level with a number of much-appreciated perks including free wifi, free breakfast, free happy hour drinks and lounge use, free laundry.... The room itself was faultless,and I wish I had the very same bed and bedding in my own home. As others have mentionned the breakfast and dinner buffets are simply superb - top notch for quality and choice. Pool also lovely, water a little cold but nice for a daily swim. Didn't try the spa or any of the treatments because their prices are high, especially so given the huge availability of good Thai massages and much lower prices all over this fantastic city. All in all, I'd love to stay again.

“One of the best in Bangkok”

The hotel was a delight!! The staff were very efficient--check-in, twice daily room service and check-out. I opted for the club room level. That offered complimentary bottled water, soft drinks and coffee daily, hugh breakfast buffet either in the club lounge or main dining room downstairs and evening cocktails with snacks that were wonderful. The hotel was a couple blocks away from the sky train which made it easy to get to any location in Bangkok. The room, located on the upper club level floors, was very large with a big flat screen TV but had limited cable offerings. The view from my room was spectacular. The value received for the price paid was exceptional.
