“Very very nice”
This is a five star plus hotel, we spent three nights here this Janurary, and it IS the best hotel i have ever stayed in. Our room was ultra modern and very comfortable including a wash and blow dry loo. A very large and great choice of breakfast. The sky train is on the door step. When we return to Bangkok we will definately be staying here.

“Avoid -there are better hotels in Bangkok”
LONG, long lines at check-in. Only 3 check-in clerks for ~40 people. Check-in clerk read very loudly my hotel room. Large groups from tour buses stay here. Overrun by guests' screaming kids. I requested non-smoking room/floor, but hotel floor smelled of cigarettes. Requested room change but they claimed hotel was full. Hotel is new but construction already showing shoddy breakdowns (e.g. grout in bathroom and sinks). I needed a dentist; the staff was unhelpful (including the concierge, who didn't speak English); the assistant supervisor pointed vaguely in the direction outside the hotel, told me to walk 5-10 minutes. I checked out early and booked a room at Aloft Bangkok (brand-new, wonderful staff). Stay there instead
