“Good location and good service”

I spent a long time on-line researching where to stay in Bangkok and was pleased with my selection. We have two young teenagers and wanted a good quality hotel, well-located for transport links and with inter-connecting rooms. This hotel met all the criteria and an added bonus was the free wi-fi in the room, which my son made good use of. The staff were extremely helpful and the rooms well-equipped. The restaurant in the evening was always nearly empty yet the one meal we had there was excellent. The one draw back could be that the pool is quite small but as we were going on to Phuket for leisure and were in Bangkok for sight-seeing that didn't matter. We would stay there again.

“Excellent hotel”

this is an excellent hotel with excellent service and very good decor. It's only a few minutes from the sky train station and around the corner from the bus stop to go to the airport. The restaurant in the hotel is also excellent and with special offers on very reasonable! A great choice.

“Extremely nice, especially for the price”

This hotel is really nice, especially for the price. The room was large and well maintained, the internet worked well, they had plenty of English TV channels, the restaurant was good, and the staff was excellent. All of the shops you need are within walking distance or a short cab ride. Its close to Nana and Wireless Road also. The only drawback is the traffic from the hospital across the street, but that is bearable.

“Low Cost, High Value Location, Eclectic Guests”

I'd stay here again - I enjoy cheerful staff, eclectic crowd, convenient access to diversity in Bangkok, and a spacious clean updated room. Furama Askok has newer room upgrades with nicer bathroom, but Sukhumvit seems better location I stayed in "Erawan" area 5 star hotels clearly a step above Furama. But these cater to audience willing to pay 3-5 times as much for hotel, for meal in hotel, for a massage in hotel SPA that closes early. Furama VERY low price included Internet, solid breakfast buffet, even happy hour drinks! And massage parlor open until 2-3 AM! Hotel guests were eclectic mix - Asian, European, and Middle Eastern - an Arabic majority during our 3 day stay One caution - busy hospital across street. Sight of hotel guests recovering from plastic surgery (bruising under eyes) disturbed my Asian girl friend at breakfast - she won't stay here again.

“We hope to go back again”

Lovely hotel, spotlessly clean, very friendly, efficient staff, large bedroom well equipped, and although the bed was a bit hard for our liking we slept well. Breakfast was included and ofered a wide range of food, #English and Thai. They also offered free drinks between 6.00 p.m. and 7.00p.m which was nice. Close to Sky Train station made getting about Bagkok very easy. We would highly recommend this excellent hotel

“Excellent Hotel”

My stay was most enjoyable, hotel very clean, staff very helpful when in need of help and directions. Breakfast buffet excellent. Close to Bumrungrad Hospital, skytrain short walk away. Street markets close by. Food excellent. I have recommended this hotel to friends. would definitely stay again if visiting Bangkok.

“Excellent boutique hotel in Sukhumvit area”

Between jobs I suddenly had 5 nights off and I searched Expedia for a hotel and came across the new Unico Grande Sukhumvit. The room was very spacious and well furnished, the bathroom a bit small but certainly fine. The young staff was overly friendly and the small restaurant was fine. I was especially happy with the free high speed Internet connection in the room, the large plasma screen and the excellent audio sytem and DVD player. Two Skytrain stations are within easy walking distance. There is a small gym and a very nice small pool with Jacuzzi. For people coming to Bangkok for "medical tourism": the Bumrungrad Hospital is across the street. I can highly recommend this hotel for it's facilities and price tag, however, I would not recommend it to first time travelers unless they are at ease finding their own way around. Anyone who wants a hotel with several restaurants to choose from, a shopping arcade, a huge gym, a large swimming pool and riverviews should not stay here.

“Great staff and nice rooms, free WIFI in room and lobby.”

I really liked this hotel. It is right next to Bumrungrad Hospital. The staff really was very helpful. Only thing it is a little far down Soi 1, but it is in a quiet area away from Sukhumvit. Just take a taxi to shopping and entertainment areas for a couple 100 baht.
