“Will have another return engagement”

This hotel ticks all the boxes - I've been a visitor to Bangkok for over 20 years now and this hotel, which I have stayed at on the last 2 occasions, is clean, comfortable and the staff are all courteous, friendly and approachable. They also provide an excellent breakfast buffet. To add to that it's very near the BTS station of Chong Nonsi (a 5 min lazy walk!!) which is a boon if you prefer to use public transport to go to other areas of the city or travel to and from Subarnhabumi airport. It's also within walking distance of both Silom and Sathorn roads.

“Very good value for money. Will certainly chose next visit to Bangkok”

I booked 2 rooms and they were generaly good although needs more light and probably new mattreses. Breakfast buffet was good in variety. Hotel is about 10 minutes walk from the main Silom road. I that since it is away from the traffic noise and the night clubs yet walking distance to the night market (bazar) on Silom Road. I was not happy that the receptionist asked for my Visa card, photocopied it and wrote down the 3 digit secret number on the back of the card. I found that not approperiate since I already paid the rooms cost in advance to Expedia. I asked the same person the following morning and his answer was not convincing, then he pulled out the photocopy and scratched on the secret number.

“always good”

The Furama Sathorn/Siloml has a convenient location near the skytrain station chong nong si, yet it is quiet. The rooms are spacious with a decent TV. The pool is small but always refreshing, a real plus in BKK where some of the pools are not deep enough to be cool. The restaurant has a good breakfast. I have stayed here 5 times. The staff are always friendly and helpful and remember me from previous visits. I recommend this hotel. It is good value as well.

Area recommendations
Anywhere near the skytrain as it makes getting around so much easier.

“Quality accommodation at good location”

Located approx half way between airport and Khao San road in Bangkok. The hotel provides quality acommodation at reasonable price. Rooms are spacious, very well prepared. Good breakfast, freindly and helpful staff. Did not have much time to use all amenities of the hotel, but would recommend to introduce an internet room that hotel guests could use.

“Great hotel and great location”

Furama Xclusive Sathorn was a nice place to stay for 4 days at the end of a long trip to Southeast Asia. Its convenient location allowed me access to Silom and to nearby sky train and subway stations. My room was very well appointed and maintained, except that the bathroom could have been a little cleaner. The hotel also had the added convenience of a swimming pool, fitness room and sauna. However, some equipment in the fitness room needed servicing. Breakfast was included in the room rate, and the quality and service were exceptional.

Area recommendations
Stay in Silom/Sathorn or Sukhumvit so that you can easily take public transportation to most parts of Bangkok. If you're interested in tourist sights, take a taxi to the old part of the city - but I wouldn't recommend staying there. It's fairly inconvenient.

“Stay away!”

Not what I was expecting.. I though in Bangkok it will be a nice hotel, clean, comfortable room etc. Bad mistake. Room was horrible by any standard, service non existent. Breakfast was OK - nothing to write home about. If you are choosing between sleeping under the bridge and this hotel, then it would make a good choice, otherwise stay away.

“If I knew like this I would have picked it”

I got to FuramaXclusive - Sathorn on November 14th.The hotel location is okay, but it is located in a small alley that is hidden, so it was not the safest area to walk around at night, we also so a flyer hanging on the wall warning from thieves and back snatchers. At check in I ordered a smoking room, when we went up to the room, the room had an intolerable smoking smell (as if it was closed for the past year) the decoration and the shower were horrible, so I asked for another room, they gave me a non smoking room but with better decoration. The bed was terrible,I kept waking up because the bed moved a lot and the breaks on the sides of the bed did not work. The water tap in the shower was broken, because every time we turned the hot water on, 5 minutes later the hot turned into cold. We asked the reception to fix it,they lied to us 5times about fixing it and eventually we had to check out from the hotel. The breakfast was nothing near to what I expected, I got a boiled egg that was pure liquid from the inside,I don't know how can they call this a boiled egg. Briefly I don't recommend this hotel to anyone, You can get better locations, better hotel for the same price. This was my 2nd time to bangkok and I didn't enjoy the location of the hotel

Area recommendations
The best stay in bangkok would be at Siam Square. I stayed there last time it was great, and not to mention the skytrain (BTS main station) is there so from there you can get anywhere. There are a lot of shopping malls and places to hang out.
When to go
1.In general Thailand's best time to visit is from the beginning of November till late February.
Getting there
2.For International flights don't forget to check in online if you the company you're traveling with provides this service so you can get Suvarnabhumi's Premium Pass (It would make things easier for you) For Transportation between Bangkok and Phuket use Air Asia its cheaper than most airlines.
Getting around
3.In Phuket: Everything is in walking distance and don't forget the tours. In Bangkok: use the tok tok and the BTS sky train.
Shopping
4.Don't do your shopping in phuket It's expensive comparing to bangkok In Bangkok, try the night bazar, Patpong night market...
Nightlife
5.In Phuket: Bangla Road In Bangkok: Everything around Silom has to do with night clubs and bars.

“Call in advance 3 times if you want 2 twin beds!”

The hotel was fine but I asked in my reservation for a 2 twin beds room, but they did not have one at check-in. They provided us with an extra bed, but the mattress was a shame. The rest was in line with the expected.
