“We loved Dewani Villa!!!!!!!!”

Dewani was a great place to stay for our first few days in Bali. The room was beautiful, traditional Balinese furniture and detailed decor. We loved everything from the outdoor shower, the apples in the room, our balcony. The pool was great and the landscaped surrounding were well cared for and maintained. The staff was the highlight. We really got to know several of the staff members who were open to sharing about their culture and the great elements of Bali. We enjoyed our daily breakfast and attentive service. Dewani was able to connect us with drivers/guides who took us to the temples of Tanah Lot and Ulu Watu. They have free shuttle service to the town of Seminyak which is nearby...however if you want a quiet, Bali experience Dewani is the place to stay. There is a nearby restaurant "Lestari" that makes homemade pasta which was excellent! Overall I cannot say enough about how enjoyable our stay at Dewani Villa was. Hello to Wayan, Made and Nyoman from Mr. John and Mrs. Lezlie from California!

“Quiet and friendly staff”

This Hotel was fantastic. The staff were very pleasant and did everything possible to accommodate our needs and make us feel comfortable. The only downside was, apart from breakfast, no food was available at the hotel. And because there were only two restaurants in walking distance, both very nice by the way, you had to get a car or taxi into town or Semenyak, which is where all the really nice restaurants are. FYI try potato head and Sarong. You'll definitely need a reservation for Potato Head and I recommend one for Sarong too. Both are in Semenyak.

Area recommendations
I'd recommend Semenyak for all your dining and shopping needs. Its nicer than Kuta. Gowever there are some good, cheap shops in Kuta. For example Krisna, most taxi drivers know it and also just down from Discovery mall in Kuta there is a little warehouse looking place which is amazing for gifts.

“Bali bliss”

Dewani Villa Resort is a beautifully set out establishment catering for the needs of the traveller. Villa's contain all the comforts and are maintained daily. Decor Balinese of course, large 4 post beds, desk, table, chairs, fridge, TV. Separate bathroom with cupboards and draws. Outside shower a feature with fish fountain that entertained 3 year old. Clean, stocked for your needs. Staff are always helpful and pleasant. The Villa's are set away from the main streets but the resort offers free transport to local shopping/market centres. Ideal location for singles, couples and families and stay includes a wonderful breakfast each morning. Bookings to adventures can be done from Villa as well as arranging drivers for your own experiences. There are no facilities at the Villa for lunch or evening meals and this is the only down fall not being close to main centre but 50m down the road is a great restaurant with wonderful settings and food they also delivier. The staff will always help you to realise your wants and needs you just need to ask. I had the best time here and would return in a heartbeat.

Area recommendations
Ubud is a beautiful rainforest town that offers great market life, shopping, eateries and pleasant people. Accomodation of all kinds from backpacking to 5 *.

“Quiet oasis but still close to the Hub”

Lovely little villa situated 10 minute taxi ride AUD2 from Seminyak. Everything about this villa is excellent, the staff, the service, the rooms, the grounds, the pool. There are couple of restaurants and a good warung 5 mins walking. The staff will happily drive you free of charge to anywhere local if they have a vehicle available.

Getting around
Taxi is the cheapest but make sure you ask them to put the meter on when you get in.
Dining
Lestari Restaurant is 5 minutes walk down road & highly recommended.

“Out of the Way Luxury”

My husband and I stayed in the largest suite at the Dewani and the room and adjacent bathroom area was huge and well-appointed. The grounds are lovely, the complementary breakfast good but not much variety. The staff at the hotel are very friendly and eager to serve in any way they can. Definitely take advantage of the massage services offered at the hotel. There is one restaurant within walking distance that is very good, attractive surroundings, and reasonably priced. However pretty much anything else you want to do you need transportation for. The hotel staff will drop you off in town for no fee and then you get a cab back. We enjoyed our stay there very much.

“Good value but not too convenient”

Our room was nice, one of seven, with mosquito nets on the bed and lovely outdoor shower. Breakfast was provided courtesy of Made and a free shuttle was provided to Seminyak, approximately 15 minute drive away. Hotel manager was very friendly and helpful; however, make sure you get shuttle prices to outside locations in writing (had some confusion when shuttling to another city). Overall, good value and would stay short term again.

“Bali Bliss”

If you want a Bali holiday you will always remember for all the right reasons there is no going past Dewani Villa Resort. From the moment you enter till it's time you leave you will be treated to greetings and smiles from every one there. The Villas are fantastic and although the breakfasts are simple they are well cooked and you must try the banana pancakes! There is a Spa for a relaxing massage next door and a few metres down the road there is a superb restaurant. We went there on several occasions for both lunch and dinner and the food is inexpensive and of 5 star quality. Looking for a relaxing place to stay then you must try Dewani Villa Resort.

Area recommendations
They supply free transport to Seminyak which we found was good for all your needs and less congested than Kuta. Also give Echo Beach for a seafood meal and drinks

“Beautiful peaceful place tp stay”

If you don't want the hustle and bustle of Kuta but don't want to be too far away Dewani is perfect. With only 6 villas in the complex the attentive staff make you feel at home, from them calling you by name everytime they see you to Made's yummy banana pancakes at breakfast. The villas are large, we had 2 adults and 2 children (who slept on mattresses on the floor) and there was still lots of space. The bathroom is huge with lots of storage and the outdoor shower (completely private) is beautiful. The pool is clean and well maintained. The location is a little out of the way, so either hire a motorbike or they will drop you off to where you want to go and then catch a taxi back (the taxis are really cheap and there's plenty of them) but this provides you with quiet nights. The staff can't be praised highly enough, all of them only too happy to help with whatever it is you need, whether it be a bit of local knowledge, where top eat or information about a trip somewhere around the island. I'd definately recommend this place.

“Devine boutique hotel”

What can I say other than if I ever go back to Bali I will stay here again.... wonderful balinese style accomodation, friendly staff and not commercialised. If you want a relaxing holiday this is the place to go

“Fanatastic Place”

I have just returned from four nights at the Dewani & was very satisfied with the stay. The staff are extremely friendly & helpful. The room was lovely & also very clean. It is a beautiful & very romantic place. There is also a great restaurant next door. I look forward to returning.
