“Great location, fantastic pool, average food and very basic room.”

Although this hotel was clean and friendly it was very basic, next time I go to Lovina beach I will go up a level. Great for folks on a budget.

“Affordable stay at Lovina”

The Bali Lovina Cottages were a good deal for the price we got (a discounted price on Agoda) I would not have been happy if I had paid the full price. The place is a little run down, but cute. They allow vendors to stand on the beach side and hassle all visitors (many hotels don't let them camp there). The breakfast and welcome juice were so awful, we never risked eating there.

“No frills, poor service”

This place has it's charm, and could be a really nice place to stay if the owners put in a little more effort. Sadly, they didn't seem to care. My wife called it "rustic" but I think that's being nice. This hotel is zero frills. (i.e. no coffee makers in the rooms). The rooms need an upgrade. The hot water didn't work properly in the two rooms we stayed in. The beds and pillows were uncomfortable. Which is understandable - it's a budget hotel. But unfortunately it applies to the service as well When we asked for extra towels, the staff acted like it was a hassled. When I asked for an umbrella, they pointed me a stand full of broken ones. Seriously, who keeps 5 non-functioning umbrellas sitting around? The pool was decent but the beach just outside the hotel was full of debris and trash and could easily have been cleaned each morning by the staff, but they seemed largely unhappy and unmotivated. A true sign of mismanagement. The restaurant is awful. The free breakfast was barely edible. The coffee was gritty. You get the picture. We won't be back. Not even if it was free.
