"Stayed in this apartment hotel for 2 nights in Apr23. We spoilt the hair dryer before we checked out, but could not inform the office as we checked out very early in the morning and the office was closed. The next day, I received an email informing us that they charged CHF500 to my credit card for spoiling the hair dryer and the TV. This is ridiculous. Their email mentioned that they gave us a perfectly working TV before we checked in. How can they accuse us for spoiling the TV a few minutes...

"Pro's and cons: Pro's first: good location, a short drive from Luino, a good sized lakeside town. You can take ferries from Luino all round the lake, including to the Borromean islands. "This place is really nice - we had a great four nights here, and were very lucky with the weather as it rained lots just before we arrived (it is "mountain weather" so you get what you get). "This property has a big problem that you only realise on arrival. There are 134 narrow and steep steps (around 8 storeys) to climb to bring up your luggage (and groceries during your stay). When travelling with an infant and a pregnant wife this is far from ideal. Once you make it up, though, the view pays off the climb. It is stunning!
